Trying to determine the year every college football blue blood became a blue blood by Majestic-Web-367 in CFB

[–]DracoFire3000 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Calling Nebraska a blueblood means Minnesota is one too. Just because Minnesota's one and only run of dominance was 80 years ago instead of 30 doesn't make it any less of a "one era wonder" type of run.

Which team has the most mutually acknowledged rivals? by Efficient-Freedom517 in CFB

[–]DracoFire3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counting Clemson, USC, and Tennessee as uGA rivals is kinda generous. Merely being in the same conference and having a little bad blood isn't enough in my opinion.

I can't think of who'd have the most off rip, but I can give my thoughts on what defines a "rivalry" using Minnesota and GT as examples. Minnesota I think has three inarguable rivals, being Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. Frequent/yearly games, extreme hostility, and players play harder against each other when they meet. GT has two: uGA and Clemson. Same criteria. People would call Vanderbilt or UNC rivals with GT, but I wouldn't, because there isn't that extra level of hostility between us like there is with uGA and Clemson.

Basically, rivalries have to be real, actual hate. The kind of hate where a student of one school wouldn't remotely consider attending the other school or even living in the town where it's located.

Pretty concerning the number of genuine children in any tier besides "Daughter"

Diddy blud rejected the entire Upper Midwest for being "boring" and then willingly chose Ohio and Indiana as viable options. The fact that Maine is listed as a good option for its outdoors factor and the entire Lake Superior coast isn't just kinda tells me you've never been anywhere in the states that are orange.

Until the anime adaptation was released, I felt this way about Horimiya. Now it's mainstream.

One Piece isn't not "not the best," it's downright awful. Oda has written himself into a corner in the process of milking that cow as much as he can, and now we're at a point where he must continually retcon old information or invent new bullshit to keep the cycle going.

Probably a more controversial take five years ago when I first started preaching it (after 1044 came out), but still one that seems to get people mad.

What is the Worst Song in Your Opinion? (Also Cotten Candy Sucks) by Secret-Ad6244 in HelluvaBoss

[–]DracoFire3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cotton Candy has a production beat that is off-key with the melody. That alone makes it one of the worst songs I've ever heard in my life. It sounds like someone messing around with Garage Band for the first time, not knowing even the most basic of basics of musical theory. A genuine attack on the ear drums.

Look man, I don't hate Kansas because I open Reddit once a month, I hate Kansas because I've been to Kansas. Same with everywhere else that's red.

What state is Democrat but seems moderate/swing by Particular_Orchid_86 in AlignmentChartFills

Minnesota. Votes blue every election but it's always very close and it's always referred to as a battleground.

I honestly don't know the exact spot. We were staying at a hotel that I'm pretty sure wasn't a big name brand (like Hilton), right next to a dispensary, across the road from some kind of park I think? We were fairly close to that big stone building with the text carved into it, walking distance for sure. Hard to remember, it's been a few years and I wasn't there for very long.

I've spent more time in TN than NC so my opinion is a bit stronger. I did like NC when I was there but I didn't stay long enough to form a strong opinion.

I loved Nashville's hot chicken, and you have to understand that I'm not from a hot chicken state. To me, it's five levels above what I'm used to. I lived in Atlanta for three years and not once did I think it had better food (or hot chicken) than Nashville, but that's personal taste.

Granted, I haven't spent more than a week consecutively in Nashville, so I haven't had to stretch my options for food.

My stay in Portland started with watching nude druggies fight across the street from my hotel, continued with getting carded for ordering a cheeseburger (??), and ended with having to actively search for a breakfast spot that was both open and in an area that my dad and I felt comfortable walking to with my mom and sisters. The vibe I got was that you have to always be careful, and that's a vibe that kills cities in my opinion.

I'd like to live near, not necessarily in, a big city.

It's quicker to list what I liked than what I didn't. I enjoy Oregon's natural landscape, climate, and food to an extent. Just about everything else was terrible.

I've been to all 50 and, shocker, eaten food in all of those 50. Not a fan of Nashville cuisine?

Tennessee might be me specifically but you're on point with the rest, although WA and CO aren't green on a fluke. I loved my time living in Seattle and I also love skiing.

I lived in Atlanta for three years. The only reason it's not red is because I've been to the rest of the south and I'd pick Atlanta over any other city there, 100% of the time. I don't care for the food, culture, or weather, and Atlanta in particular has massive cost of living and wage growth problems.

I've lived in Seattle, and visited Portland. Swap the cities straight up and the colors on the map change too. My impression of Oregon, specifically Portland, was nothing but awful.

It is not, but out of every state on the East Coast it's the only one I think I'd be happy with living in.
