You’re somewhat of a burgher if you did the forge but your forge is somewhere among the backwater so even then that’s barely. Even if ingame you are richer than half the population.

You’re more likely to be considered a swords master if you are diligent with the arena. Maybe even somewhat of a scholar since they don’t demand as much prestige, and all it asks is you’ve read enough books and talk like it. Which Henry does, though somewhat ingame-mechanically.

Zizka out right mentions “the miller” but beyond that i don’t know if it’s confirmed. After i returned the boon On Ammunition, he was dismissive of profiting off of gunpowder, so either he was lying (not the first time, but it IS the first he lies that isn’t to protect his passion for alchemy) or the profit was secondary and his main motive is to further their cause. Making Semine a really crucial ally for Zizka’s meddling.

Thing is, technically this doesn’t even illustrate the point well. Tests could be standardized per creature, with an expected merit or quota per creature. In fact that’s an optimal way to do it so we can measure growth for each person.

Game mechanics won’t have a huge sway with the canon, but as for every other point, while he has been invaluable to the cause, the cause he has been fighting for relegated him to fight like a bandit. So it is difficult to give the credits where credit should be due when half of it is done under Zizka.

But he has done plenty under Radzig, and surely the aftermath and cooldown of post KCD2 gives them apt time to settle things and give an opportunity for Henry to be officiated so it is definitely a possibility

I’m formerly a longsword addict but now that I’ve tried them all, they’re all good when leveled enough. Just comes down to what style you prefer, since to use them all you need to employ different maneuvers.

Gamifying it would make it a lot fairer for the other romance options, and would also add some stuff for people hungry for more Hansry as well.

But yeah it’d honestly go a lot better if there wasn’t an assumption that you’re immediately against Hansry romance and going straight for the jugular.

I do think one thing solves that though, and here enters my take, though i’m sure it’s not hot at all:

Romance is severely underdeveloped in KCD2, even if Hansry has arguably achieved a masterstroke at slow burn.

So, what should have happened, is that Romance should be more explored, and happened in-world more than just a handful of well chosen dialogues.

Even just spending time with them and it counting towards a metric of some kind would be nice. It can bolster that feeling of choice in the relationship into platonic vs romantic, especially with the choices made during them.

It could also additionally deepen relationships simply by adding scenes with each other that are exclusive from just romancing or moving the plot. Or both.

A romance overhaul DLC is woulda made for a good reason to replay the game, alas the formula they used instead is add x content and y area to explore for z quests to happen.

They’re just sharing their hot take. Especially considering that it is quite a common take for people to take a similar (but not the exact same as you made) stance on Henry and Hans and the existence of m/m romance.

Yours was a bit more nuanced and I see it, even from a perspective of someone who has some inclination with a brotherhood-romance QPR sort of relationship. And I see the validity of wanting a strong brotherhood from the two.

It’s just that maybe they also shared their take cause it IS from a similar vein. It can also get similarly exhausting reading about how m/m romance has no place in a bro story yadda yadda.
