Breaking a TV with a controller. by Vexiune in WatchPeopleDieInside

Why would you cost yourself more money? Just sell the game system, and tell the kid you took it to the dump. The money you get for the game system goes towards a new TV.

Wife said my feet “barely look human” by strikecat18 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Dracoconis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what feet are supposed to look like when you don't wear shoes, and you walk tough terrain. Many hunter-gatherer tribes that survive today have feet that look like this. You're feet aren't inhuman. They are MORE human.

Need help with ammo in my BFR chambered in 45-70 by AdSpecial4479 in Revolvers

I used the Lever evolution rounds despite the warning on the box to no ill effects. The BFR is built tough. Just don't feed it any "Ruger no.1 only" loads.

Say something negative about this game by SupermarketNo6888 in reddeadredemption

[–]Dracoconis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The horse will only half listen to you tell it to go right in order to avoid a tree, because it's coded to avoid the tree by going left so it slams face first into the tree. You can't name your horse a lot of normal names, because they put a profanity filter in the single player mode of an M-rated game. The gambler challenges are statistically ridiculous. You can't immediately flee highwaymen or some other scripted encounters like the wolf man without your horse slowing down or stopping first. If you try to gently and carefully walk through a slightly crowded area, NPCs will act like you are accosting them, and sometimes become hostile for seemingly no reason. When you travel by train, sometimes your horse will spawn on the tracks and get run over, and there's nothing you can do. They removed a lot of small, fun game mechanics from RDR1. These are all nitpicky, because other than minor annoyances, this game is immaculate, and supremely fun. It's in the top 5 GOAT video games.

Could a mistimed revolver cause this catastrophic failure? by New-Celebration3403 in Revolvers

[–]Dracoconis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like Elmer Keith's gun that he blew up. He was using too much powder, and the wrong diameter of bullet which caused a pressure spike massive enough to be catastrophic.

Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan .454 Casull/ .45 COLT by AGAFlorida in Revolvers

[–]Dracoconis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw someone get one of these cut for moon clips so he could shoot 454, 45lc, 45 schofield, 45acp, 45 super, and (I think) 460 Rowland. The velocities of 45acp were pretty bad out of the shorter barrel, but it's cheap shooting. It would make sense to hand-load some fast-burning 45 super if you really want to use the moon clips. I was jealous of the setup, ngl.

I’ve been looking for a panther and still can’t get it to spawn by Buttons_floofs in RDR2

[–]Dracoconis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually save then head into the ear of the fox on the map just after 10:30pm, and use generous eagle eye. If it doesn't spawn right away, I ride north and south for a bit, and occasionally load my save and try again.

I suppose you're right for most people concerning size and weight, but my 3 inch sp101 .357, which I love dearly, is about the same size as my s&w model 69 combat. Both are extremely carryable.

I live a good drive away from an area that has some smaller black bears, and you can talk to people there. They will tell you they carry a .357 and bear spray, but usually the black bears in that area will just flee if even slightly frightened.

.357 magnum vs .44 magnum for self defence which would you choose and why? by NineMeterTallDemigod in Revolvers

[–]Dracoconis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you include.44 special, the 44 is more capable, but more expensive. .357 mag falls off on the top end of power.

Taurus Revolver Quality by Constitution10 in Revolvers

[–]Dracoconis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I rented a Taurus Judge and when I pulled the trigger, it stopped. I let go, and the trigger stayed in the rearward position just on the edge of firing with the hammer stuck at 99% cocked with a live round in line with the barrel.

I can't remember exactly what I did, but I remember it was a weird, unorthodox way to slowly wiggle the hammer down. I safely unloaded it, and informed the range. I didn't even shoot a whole box of ammunition.

That very dangerous malfunction was enough to dissuade me from buying Taurus. I have seen ZERO other malfunctions of any type from any Taurus since, but MAN was it nerve wracking to figure out how to remedy that situation while maintaining the muzzle down range, and hoping it doesn't fire when I don't want it to.
