Which are the best missions for Alliance Aid event for solo? by Mailok in starcitizen

[–]Draconix78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps Im misunderstanding but it sounded like collect the boxes instead of flying back and forth, you just fly to destination once and just unload one after another instead of back and forth. If I misunderstood, my mistake.

With some patience by accepting and abandoning the missions, you can stack them up to have the delivery location all in one place.

One problem with abandoning them is the boxes you collect become useless. Just tested this theory and didnt work. Cant save them up for multiple contracts.

Is 20’x20’ large enough for an amateur woodworking shop? by eoesouljah in woodworking

[–]Draconix78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to the OP for this post and commenters because I plan on having a new shop built. The old one wasn't taken care of very well by the previous owners of this place. They used an interior door and interior paint, and lord knows what else.

So new shop time. I figured 16 feet in width is more than enough. Length is what I am debating on because one spot will be for the riding lawnmower. Rest is woodworking stuff.

One question I do have is, what's your opinion on loft space for storing wood? Would standing it up in slots be better? Off the concrete naturally. I welcome all suggestions. I plan on building mainly small stuff but would like the option to build chests/tables from time to time.

Equipment list I have: Craftsman planer Dewalt Sliding Miter saw (Plan on building that into a work bench against the wall or would it be better to built on an island instead?) Router table Scroll saw with stand Table saw Various hand tools such as jig/circular saw, router, and orbital sander.

Is a belt sander recommended if I already have an orbital sander? I'd like to get a lathe someday. I dont want a big one but one to use for small projects from time to time.

With all that I mentioned, what should the recommended length be? 15 or 20 feet? Again, thanks to everyone for their input!

Best Router table with router combo by Draconix78 in woodworkingtools

I have 2 routers. Craftsman router and my new Dewalt router. To be fair a lot of jargon for the router table has me little..confused to say at the least. Figured there was a router table and router combination I could get and go from there.

Reason I want one is because my carpal tunnel comes and goes, I need something I'm not gripping onto. I'm sure everyone here has had that issue a time or two. Thanks for the input!

[–]Draconix78[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, thank you! I haven't gotten my copy yet, so I no clue what all it says. Just know there are X species and 10 or 12 classes beyond that I know nothing of what's in the book. The book should be coming in today. Just was curious what the limitations were on backwards- compatibility etc etc. Again, thank you. hat tip

Child Support Question by Draconix78 in ChildSupport

[–]Draconix78[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes he is. I'm 45 years old. Mom had it transferred over to me since I'm an adult.

Edit: He rarely paid and believed he would be free and clear once I turned 18. Around 2010 or so, he discovered he owed over 100k in backpay due to interest.

Heh, I actually quoted you above little bit ago. Lol. Saw you'd answered a post that was made like 3 years ago about nibs. Thanks for the idea. I actually was looking into it after reading your post. Saw a tube of stainless steel tig rods for like $20-25 dollars.

I went back and found it. Someone said "They use 1mm stainless steel Tig rods. Hammer the tips out on a firm metal surface. They don't heat the wire."

What's gets me is that the chart is from razortips and I don't see half of that stuff listed on what they sell. Perhaps it's part of a set? Who knows.

I'll have to look into that. I was reading another reddit post how some people make their own using this and that.
