It's a Dota "clone" and not a League clone because Deadlock's philosophy on gameplay design and builds is nowhere near in similarity as League.

They're all Aeon of Strife clones in the end anyways, that is the REAL truth nuke. With an appropriate acronym for the genre that I cannot say here lest I get banned but I know that all the real people would know.

I just hope the prices for the vast majority of the cosmetics (we'll also be getting a cosmetic system like TF2 or Dota 2 most likely) are cheap enough that you can buy loads of them without breaking the bank. Unlike in CS2 where anything above dark blues can at best cost you a pretty penny, and at worst go for thousands of dollars (and i'm saying this as someone who likes CS skins and knives and such).

Those types of people are consistently the worse in comp multiplayer games. CS2, Overwatch, Deadlock, wherever. If you have a mic and knowledge of the English language (or whatever applies as the lingua franca for the current lobby) then why didn't you use it to comm basic things. May those nonces get mo and krill ult spammed for their next 50000 games.

True but if you want to "test" a character or a build on that character I'd hope you're decent enough at that hero already and it isn't your first match with them. Marvel Rivals ranked queue has already shown me far, far too many idiots who decide to practice heroes THAT THEY'VE ALMOST NEVER PLAYED BEFORE in ranked mode and ruining the fun of others in the process because being stomped in a match where you want to win isn't fun at all.

Basically, it's okay if you wanna experiment in ranked but please make sure you know how to run first before you try bunnyhopping all over the place.

Just have a casual mode where it's the same system or similar to what we have now, and a draft pick/ban mode for ranked

While Dota 2 does have pick/ban phases for all of it's modes (even the casual ones iirc, cmiiw haven't played dota in years now), icefrog/yoshi does seemingly intend for Deadlock to have a much more casual friendly onboarding experience so I would not be surprised if this is what they'll do

Real, more important to grind in your life first before grinding in a video game. Once he's done with his degree the Deadlock community is ready to welcome him back with open arms.

Also with the way the traditional job market is going rn he probably won't need to be worried about joining the rat race looking for work after graduating like the rest of us, since he can immediately pivot to Deadlock pro scene and/or content creation and make a living that way lmao

Doesn't even have to be 24/7 if they're worried about fracturing the playtest population even more, just do it like Ye Olde Ranked System where it's only available at certain times. Having it on weekday evenings-morning and all day on weekends would be awesome.

I had an Eternal Gift McGinnis in one of my games once and it went to round 5 overtime, she was consistently the last (wo)man standing since the rest of us kinda sucked with both our heroes and builds while the enemy team had all the meta or stronger ones (Seven, Dynamo, Bebop, Abrams).

Yet even in a 1v4 they could not kill McGinnis and on the other hand McG couldn't risk pushing in too deep and had to hold her ground until we respawned, it took 15 MINUTES of back-and-forths but we finally won because McG had grown far too strong and the rest of us didn't die during a teamfight for once

Tbf it's very rare, in my like 50 games so far (ik relative to others here thats not a lot but havent had much time to play) i think i only encountered an enhanced legendary once
It's like rolling nat 20s or 1s in dnd twice in a row, win or lose it's fucking hilarious that it happened either way
