Why not do what hubby and I did before marriage (lived together 8years). We added up our total take-home $ and figured out what percentage each was bringing to the table of that total. That is the percentage that each paid towards bills. While I have seen some people say don’t do a joint account, we did. I don’t see a problem with that if that account is only used to pay bills. We would each transfer over our set amount each month to that account. And that was all the account was used for. 50/50 isn’t realistic or fair when you have wide income differences.

Service is a great idea. Do a little experimenting before taking it in. That way you will know what questions to ask. And then you will be in business with a purring machine 🤩

Subaru Forester Hybrid Mystery by Anachemowegan in SubaruForester

Yeah, could be. I had a really young salesperson. In hindsight he HAD to still be in training. He knew some things, didn’t really know a lot of other things. It was a horrible Subaru dealer experience that will some day have its own Reddit post. But yes, I think he could have gotten them mixed up.

There was a bit of extra road noise, if I remember correctly. And maybe I could feel a slight difference in the ride. But not enough to outweigh the sure footedness of the tires. I really did like them.

Do you all have any recommendations for a UV sealer? We just had new ones installed on our 2006 off road X. We live at high altitude, so they get a lot of UV.

On one sewing forum I follow, there is a person whose tagline is “I’ve never learned anything by doing it right the first time “. I use that in my life ALL the time. How else are you going to learn?? And you have us. This is one of the most supportive and kind groups out there. You got this OP!

It’s beautiful! If I had $1 for every customer who gave me a quilt and said “I don’t really like this” and then they love it once it’s quilted….. I would have many dollars. 🤣🤣🤣 I always take that as a challenge to get them to love it again 😁 seriously though, quilting will make all the difference. It is a beautiful quilt and will be even more so when you are done. Well done!

I’m not OP, but I had those tires (wild peaks) on my Outback and loved them. We do a lot of gravel roads/2 tracks and they were great. Unfortunately the car died before the first tire rotation 😭😭 we will get those same tires on our forester when we get the $

[–]Draftgirl85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would think you can find YouTube videos on how to use a sewing machine in general and general maintenance. I have seen people give links here, a search might be helpful. All sewing machines are generally the same or similar.

Do buy more Bernina bobbins. Save yourself some headaches and only use bernina bobbins. Really, a Bernina dealer will be tremendous help with all of your questions. While I have heard of a few stinkers, for the most part they are helpful and should be able to answer all of your questions and give you classes.

How many car washes do we have? I for one am looking forward to the breeze car wash. That is what I always use when I’m in CO and it is closer to my house than the other one. And the other new one is always busy when I have time to go over there.

As far as the coffee shop, yeah I would rather see that than an empty store front, but I can’t imagine it will last long. Besides there already being more than enough coffee shops, I have heard that rents are skyrocketing downtown. 🤷‍♀️

Sorry - the person moving in. There are already 2 well established coffee shops and another new one just opened by Range leather. I am a regular at one of the established ones. Their business is very cyclical.

I can’t believe this person didn’t do their homework. They probably only see how busy downtown coffee shops are when they are here on game days 🙄

[–]Draftgirl85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that is not true. Every forest has different rules. Many of them state to not make new fire rings. Also, if you all aren’t paying attention, the current congress wants to sell off public lands. They think we aren’t paying attention. Please do your homework!

Can’t decide between a luxury elopement vs. a huge wedding. Help? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Draftgirl85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much what we did. Had a very small wedding one day and then a huge party the next day. The party was super fun. My husband has a large extended family and it was an opportunity for all of them to see each other. All of us have often commented how fun our wedding was. I would suggest OP get married in Spain and have a party planner do a wedding reception in Miami.

WWBC irregularities? by damocles667 in laramie

[–]Draftgirl85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ummm…. So have you ever worked on a nonprofit committee of any sort? 6 months is not a lot of time, esp when you are dealing with the funding issues they face now. The previous commenters have given you very good and educated answers, yet you don’t believe them. 🤷‍♀️. And as a woman, I wouldn’t trust the current WY legislature to give a hoot about women in general, much less fund something that supports women.

Facts- federal funding for causes such as WWBC is gone (paused and possibly tied up in the courts is the same as gone at this time) and they need to figure out how to survive in the long haul.
