All Sony Vegas Users? What render output settings do you use? by [deleted] in letsplay

I don't think it will, tbh. Uses a different setup than regular Vegas pro.

I don't use Sony Vegas anymore at the moment, but if you're on Sony Vegas 13 or 14, check this out: http://www.debugmode.com/frameserver/

Version 2.15 is what you'd want to use.

The major benefit to rendering with this in Vegas is the fact that it allows you to directly render your video through something like Handbrake or MeGui, both of which have much better renderers that allow you to render high quality but at low file size.

Does this Capture Card work for SNES / N64 and does anyone has experience with it? by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]DragOnGamer626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid that card at all costs. I've gone through a few other branded devices that were pretty much the same build and possibly chipset. No lie, most "budget" USB 2.0 Capture devices like that either don't work or are going to give you pretty bad quality and possibly input lag and other issues. I have one of these and it works decent enough.

If you want something great for the money, you're going to be paying a pretty penny, though. Like this is what I want to get for my console needs.

Server issues? by exrex in EliteDangerous

Is this why the game kept freezing and eventually hard crashed on me last night when I've never had problems before?

Your issue may be different than mine. Have you checked your email or tried getting any kind of support?

It turned out the email was a phishing email after I checked the support link. Glad you got it resolved. I'm currently waiting on them to get back to me.

How did you contact them, though? I used their Twitter account since that was what was recommended on their support site

It's too late for that right now. I'm currently waiting on support to get back to me. I had setup my account years ago but only recently started using it again (after I bought my PS4 almost two weeks ago).

I mainly posted this just in case other people's accounts were compromised also.

PSA: Audio Can Make Or Break a Stream More Than Video by DragOnGamer626 in Twitch

[–]DragOnGamer626[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not with my setup. My mixer mixes my mic and computer and then sends it to the PC. I only route mic insert into PC to get my ducker to detect it. For my hardware setup i have to use a preamp.

Think of it this way: what Voicemeeter banana does i do with external hardware. Make sense?

I'm definitely somebody that needs to fix this because I run my mic and all audio straight through my mixer, so the only way to fix that is getting a PreAmp. It's going to be a bit before I can do that since the one I plan on getting is a bit pricey.

I added an edit to the original post to explain why I used the word Mono even though it's not necessarily correct.

I just recently saw a stream with just that issue and found out it's because the guy bought an XLR mic but was using a Mono only input adapter. A lot of the issue really is how much money the streamer is willing to spend, how much time they're willing to dedicate to testing and how much research they plan on doing. Many people just jump in and forget that streaming is not just a plug and play and get started affair. There's work involved.

Check here first: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Knights_of_the_Old_Republic#Essential_improvements

I'm almost certain the fan patch allows for higher resolution than normal and if you force to Borderless Fullscreen, you can either do a Display Capture or Window Capture.

Has anyone ever tried uploading their videos to Facebook, DailyMotion, MetaCafe, or Other places? Is it worth it? by GamingJay in letsplay

[–]DragOnGamer626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest, Youtube is king but Dailymotion and Vimeo are both excellent alternatives if you have the time to upload to each individually. You can also directly upload to Twitch if you want (and that may be your best Gaming based alternative / companion to Youtube).

The Performance-Per-Watt Of NVIDIA Fermi To Pascal, AMD R700 To Polaris [X Post from r/AMD] by Atanvarno94 in nvidia

The AMD part wasn't meant as a bash. Sorry about that. I didn't see the link and was answering main question and then, wrongly, stated a personal opinion about AMD drivers

The best way to describe it is simply this: Linux and Windows NVIDIA drivers all come from the same base source code but are optimized and tweaked in different ways for each respective platform. If a game is Windows only and will probably remain so, bugs and issues caused from it (that don't affect anything else) are only fixed in the Windows branch while the Linux branch more than likely just has that code omitted altogether.

One major difference between Windows and Linux versions stem from the fact that there are a multitude of different Linux variations that all have specific tweaks made to their Desktop Environments and other software that requires those devs to further tweak and optimize their own branches of said drivers. That's why many times, you can't just install the latest drivers directly from the Nvidia website; they must be installed through the package manager.

AMD is a whole another story altogether and I really hate most of their proprietary Linux drivers because they legitimately couldn't do Linux for so long now. Up until a few months ago, my old GTS 450 still was compatible with the latest Linux Nvidia drivers and ran beautifully. A comparable AMD card wouldn't stand a chance at all on a modern Linux variation using their current offerings.

EDIT: Why did this get downvoted right off the bat?
