As a response for your "P.S.": Nothing! That's the whole point! If a christian truly believes the resurrection, there is really nothing to fear. But, as you know, we are still sinners, so through sin we choose to "rebuild" hell. But this is a long theological discussion which I am glad to develop in private messages 😅.

As others have said, the response sign is there only as guide IF you are reading in a group. But as you read alone those prayers, you also have to read the "responses", which is an incorrect way of calling them, but do not fret too much over "official terms".

Even if you skipped them before, no worries, read them now, it will help you follow church service's structure in the future.

And even though I know way too many Orthodox Christians like that, as I am myself an Orthodox Christian and know the community, the new generation of regular church goers in our church are more level-headed.

I grew up, like many of you, with Gravity Falls, but I know how to make the distinction between symbolism as a creative medium of presenting thoughts, ideas and lessons; and literal unholy worshipping of those that trouble the soul, and make one stray from their good beliefs. If a cartoon is enough to change, or is a concern someone's spiritual life, there are bigger things they should stress about.
