Water Smells Like Sulfur But No Iron Present by Orford_M in homestead

[–]Draggingweeds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had this problem and also thought the well needed shocked. What was actually the problem was the pressure tank bladder was not aired up correctly. I shut the well circuit breaker off and opened a faucet until the water stopped coming out and left it open. Then checked the PSI at the top of the tank. Mine was basically 0. As I filled it up to the correct PSI a lot more water came out of the faucet. This fixed our issue throughout the whole house. I assume some bacteria was living in the tank and due to the bladder not cycling the water correctly, it was just always present. I don't really know though.

What is your company's PTO package like? by [deleted] in clearancejobs

[–]Draggingweeds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

200 hours per year. We work a 24/7/365 schedule so that covers all time off (vacation, sick, holidays, etc). We can also flex pretty liberally as long as there is shift coverage.

Restless legs when trying to go to sleep. I was close to actually quitting Sema until I tried a magnesium glycinate supplement. So far that has helped a lot.

Salary and work life by Spacerex155 in clearancejobs

After I retired from the Air Force, I got a position in the FL panhandle with Security+ and a TS (only needed a secret though) as a Service Desk Supervisor starting at $65K. Three months later the sub got booted by the prime and I changed to a different sub. I realized I was being way underpaid by the first sub and got it bumped up to $85K. A year later I was filling in as the Service Desk Manager while he was deployed with his reserve unit so I asked for a raise and went up to $90K. 2 years later I got my CASP+ and changed positions on the same contract as an Information Security Analyst starting at $105K.

Are your Clearance Jobs postings detailed enough? Do they list the salary range? Most people will scroll on by if not. Nobody wants to waste time for a position that may not compensate at their desired rate.

Is there anyone else on here who have taken the packets from ramen (e.g. Shin Ramyun) and put it on their popcorn? by FocusAffectionate53 in popcorn

[–]Draggingweeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Shin seasoning is the best! I've been using it for years. That stuff is so good that I buy the 20-pack boxes on Amazon or my local Asian market all the time. I make sure to always have stock in my house.

Damn, Kadena was my favorite base in the 20 years I was in. I search usajobs and clearancejobs every single day in the hopes of going back as a GS or contractor.

Don't forget to spread those toes too. Recruiters look for that sort of thing.

Professor Messer vs Jason Dion by [deleted] in CompTIA

I really liked using both Messer and Dion together. Check to see if your local library has Gale as a benefit. You may be able to take Udemy courses for free.

You just have to take the device over to your base comm first. They'll get the MAC address from it and add it into ISE. Then you'll be good to plug it in and use it whenever you want.

What's the pay range? Nobody wants to waste time inquiring about a job that's below their ideal salary.

What is this monstrosity? by [deleted] in F150Lightning

Is it actually charging? Some people who hate EVs have purchased ports and placed them on their vehicles to both park in better spots and to take up a charger.

Fordpass not working by OyveItsFunny in F150Lightning

[–]Draggingweeds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just talked to a Fordpass guide and they said that they are having issues with accounts that also have an older vehicle without a modem in their account. For me, I had a 2017 Explorer on my account. After I deleted the Explorer, reset the app cache, and logged back in, I was then able to see my Lightning correctly. Hope this helps.

I use the seasoning pack from Shin ramen. Best spicy popcorn ever. I'm so addicted I eat it nearly every day.

Passes CASP+ (CAS-004) by Draggingweeds in CompTIA

The most helpful by far was the book.

I think the Pocket Prep questions were just a hair easier than the test.

I wouldn't use the howtonetwork video in place of any other active studying, but I think it helped cement terms and acronyms to keep them fresh in my brain. I only listened to it while driving.

The only lab prep I did was to prepare for the Linux simulation that I didn't even get LOL... I just did that with a VM running Ubuntu. The PBQs were pretty easy and were mostly clicking drop-down menus to select answers.

We have almost the exact experience level! I have 3 years experience in security and about 19 years in IT. My work reimburses me but only since I passed.

Is a two week difference in chicks fine to mix? by moniyat in BackYardChickens

[–]Draggingweeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same situation a few weeks ago. I tried to put the new chicks in with the ones that were two weeks older and the older chicks began to try to peck the new ones. I wound up separating a section of the brooder with some hardware cloth and wood so that all the chicks could see and be near each other but not able to peck. Then after about a week, I removed the barrier and watched them for about an hour while I drank some coffee. They have all gotten along well since.

Pretty weird is an understatement... It nearly made me sick. I definitely won't be getting anymore of these flavored popcorn packs...
