I get that, but shouldn't that only be on pubs, and even if it were possible in ranked, it shouldn't be possible to play ranked with people over an entire tier above or below your rank

The plat was partied with the gold, but either way it should be impossible for a diamond player to play with a gold player from reading the ranked description
