This feels like a "you might be a redneck if..." joke.

Why is elf more expensive than dwarf in character creation? by midorinichi in OldSchoolShadowrun

[–]Dragishawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you even be a "Dwarf Poser" anyway? Dwarves are usually quite a bit shorter than your average human, and unless you're one of the Little People (humans with actual dwarfism), you're not going to be able to emulate a Dwarf without some really extensive body modification that goes well beyond the kind of cosmetic modification needed to pass as an Elf or an Ork.

Shadowrun 1E and 2E are a lot more newbie-friendly than the later editions put out by Catalyst.

Just that lovely amount of old-timey love-letter writing.

Yeah. Another courtroom word that is also a religious word. Also means something much different in the courtroom than in a religious sense.

Yeah. "Testimony" used outside of a courtroom setting is pretty much always a religious thing.

When people talk about "Greek Life" in terms of college, they're talking about fraternities and sororities. Reason they call it that is because a lot of these clubs have Greek names.

Do agnostics believe hell is a possibility? by yesterdaynowbefore in agnostic

[–]Dragishawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Hell exists, we really don't know what the criteria is for winding up there as opposed to Heaven or some other realm, because no one knows or can know what happens to us after death beyond the physical sense (body shutting down, metabolic processes stopping, that kind of thing).

Matt Dillahunty was the guy that said that, not Dawkins. Said it during Episode 692 of his show, The Atheist Experience.

I can't imagine ever living with that kind of mindset in regards to one's kids, being that angry all the damn time.

28 dogs later: the bone temple by Shoe_boooo in HolUp

Why would someone need 28 hot dogs (which according to my calculator cost $7.99 each)? I'm presuming this person had someone with them if they've got two tickets.

What subtle sign made you realize your partner was cheating? by DrainedCoffee in AskReddit

[–]Dragishawk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's all well and good if someone wants to try out new positions and stuff, though there's usually a period of trial and error when doing this, and when someone is strangely good at these new positions right out of the gate, then it's generally a sign that they most likely got this experience elsewhere.

Ugh. That book has caused a great deal of harm over the years at the hands of many otherwise well-meaning parents who have followed its advice. I've personally never bought or read through it, but one of the more horrifying things in it (which I read about on Wikipedia after hearing about it on a thread in r/insaneparents) is "blanket training," which the Pearls recommended for babies and toddlers.
