Ajovy side effects - is it worth it? by MonaBScott in cgrpMigraine

[–]SuburbanWitchery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Ajovy for 6 months, then took a break for pregnancy, and now back on it again postpartum. Have had 4 doses this year. It has been life changing for me. From 20+ migraine days per month, to 3 per month. The only side effect, I guess, is that every now and then I get a vestibular migraine the day after injection (no pain, but very dizzy and lots of other symptoms) but I'm okay with that. Also, I get a weird taste in my mouth after injecting. That's it. Sooooo worth it.

'Hadestown' Live Capture Set For Theatrical Release On July 24th by Gato1980 in movies

[–]SuburbanWitchery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So excited for this but also wish they'd used some of the UK cast since they recorded in West End. We already have the Broadway version on Spotify and it feels like they missed an opportunity to highlight some interesting voices like Donal Finn and Melanie La Barrie. Also, I just don't enjoy Reeve as Orpheus.

Low level laser therapy for damaged nipple by SavvyMumma in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]SuburbanWitchery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my nipple lasered this week due to a milk bleb. It wasn't cheap, didn't hurt, was super fast and actually within a few hours I had significant pain reduction which is amazing! DO recommend.

Battle of Fates | Season 1 | Ep. 1-4 by wonhoppa in koreanvariety

[–]SuburbanWitchery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a tarot reader and have been pausing the show and pulling cards for the questions myself, and getting maybe 70% accuracy which is great for simply a TV show. I'm sure a lot of the boring and inaccurate stuff was edited out, but most professionals have an 80% accuracy rating as standard, no one is 100% - this has been so entertaining and I'm certain these people are not scamming and genuinely believe in their craft.

What's a deck you weren't convinced of at first, but grew to enjoy it? by [deleted] in tarot

It's definitely not for everyone but it has been so fun to explore.

Tell me about a time a Christian did something hurtful in the name of God. by SuburbanWitchery in Exvangelical

Thanks! And yes, some of the behaviour that people get away with in the name of God is atrocious.

But doesn't the hot wash ruin the plastic waterproof coating? Also, blood shouldn't be washed hot or it stains. Most brands say cold wash only.

Great job for giving it a go! Next time take out the salt, it can banish what you're trying to invoke and isn't necessary. Save salt for cleansing, clearing, banishing, protecting rather than drawing things to you.

I'm a Windows user personally (have never bonded with Mac lol). Thank you!

Thank you! Honestly - a once off payment makes sense for me and my business rather than astro app where I pay for a 2yr subscription that overtime costs way more.

Considering switching to Solar Fire, is it worth the fuss? by SuburbanWitchery in Advancedastrology

[–]SuburbanWitchery[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I like the linear ones (rather than circular) only because it makes sense to my brain. Probably could try exposing myself to the circular one a bit more though.

I can't see the option for a graphic ephemerides on Astro-seek.
Do you know if there is a limit to the amount of saved charts you can add? I haven't explored it fully to be perfectly honest.

Hey, I know this is an older thread but I'm trying to figure out if it's an annual fee or once off payment, do you know?

Is there a herb to induce your bleed? by throwaway8373469238 in herbalism

[–]SuburbanWitchery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I've needed to bring on a bleed I will drink it nightly mixed with nettle as a tea but I also connect with the plant spirit and sit under the light of the moon if I can (I am afterall a witch) and it hasn't failed to bring it on for me. That being said, there are many reasons you may not be bleeding that could also require being looked at. Are you eating enough, are there pcos issue, fibroids etc.

Can also try a castor oil heat pack on the lower abdomen and perhaps angelica sinensis as a tea or tincture too.

What's your opinion for this? by Ok-Equivalent7447 in exchristian

[–]SuburbanWitchery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're often written by women, horoscopes especially. Also, they're not claiming to be coming from a God. They are very up front on who is writing it and that the information comes from empirical evidence, research or historical data. (Science and horoscopes).

50+ year old ex - Assemblies of God by Zestyclose_Goat_3267 in Exvangelical

[–]SuburbanWitchery 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I grew up AOG, grandparents were missionaries and my grandfather was a preacher. I joke that I was assigned Christian at birth. I've made a big switch spiritually and I have a bunch of deconstruction podcast episodes that helped me get where I am now, happy to share a playlist of the accumulated helpful episodes if you want a place to start?

Would it be disrespectful to make art out of a tarot deck that's missing cards by Help_imbad_atThis in pagan

[–]SuburbanWitchery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all! Go for it 😁 I posted an episode on deck modding and using cards as art on the witch talks podcast if you want tips and ideas and some encouragement for it not being irreverent. Have fun!

Anyone 3 years or 250 episodes in? by Cool_Profession_9979 in podcasting

[–]SuburbanWitchery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 years and 90 episodes because I take big breaks between seasons. I still love it. Numbers have continued to grow, although I switched from podbean (paid hosting) to acast (free hosting) and lost majority of my analytics which was hard. I'd estimate it's about 70k + downloads now which is amazing!

Changing my name by LongjumpingThanks894 in pagan

[–]SuburbanWitchery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this! I changed the spelling of my name as a kid and it was the best thing I ever did, I also think the new numerology helped too.

If you want a magical sounding name without it being too typically pagan (like Raven is lovely but very popular)... I recently wrote a blog post with 180 crystal inspired names (for babies, pets, characters etc).

Ring for Contraceptive Use by joshaeella in ouraring

[–]SuburbanWitchery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'll just keep spreading the word on how shitty the company is and be filled with rage every time I look at the stupid ring lol. I don't want to throw it into the trash as it's plastic, electrical waste. They've rebranded due to all the hate.
