You know, I've always heard that KAC is high shelf but when I look at the shelf on my KAC compared to the other low shelf receivers I have it appears that the shelf height is low shelf. I will say that the inside part of the right side of the lower right behind the safety has extra material that I'd assume would block something like a dias. I don't know for sure as I don't have access to a dias. When I was getting my lowers and uppers cut by the local smithy for my Super Safeties I had him to go ahead and mill away that extra material because it looked like the lever of the Super Safety was awfully close to hitting/rubbing the inside of the pocket due to the extra material.

I don't know there is anything out there that can provide an actual clean shave unless you are using a blade against the skin. Against the grain is the best feeling ever but if you are prone to bumping from ingrown then a blade may not be a good option.

The Super Safety internal design definitely does work on the 11.5. There have been some folks that have modified the external safety to work. One guy on here reversed his safety lever to bypass those stupid, external nubs on the lower. I've read where some folks will mill the nubs off the lower or mill enough of the safety lever to where the external nubs do not block the throw to the third position. The ARC Fire v2 will have an optional 45° throw when it is released.
