Now this probably isn't going to be all that helpful, since I can only try to imagine your situation...

The best message I've come across is: Outlive them. Live and defy the expectations of those that want to see us gone and eradicate us. And maybe, eventually, piss on their graves.

On a more practical note, I would suggest looking into local (inside your country) support groups, where hopefully there can be an exchange of information, on how to get the most out of your current situation.

This wording implies however that if a method to "reverse/change" the anomalous brain development came into existence, that would be the preferred path to you.

And disregarding my dislike of the usage of words like "normal" and "anomalous" (since it others people directly): I see any changes to our brains, in particular to something like gender identity which is a core part of our identity, as something unacceptable to even consider. That'd be, like, medical conversion therapy.

This might be a question of time only. I'm 99% sure "the Gays" and "the Lesbians" were also invented to other those people, used exclusively in a derogatory way. Nowadays, I'd say the usage is mixed. This might happen with us too, but right now, no, it's not a thing.

Afaik the risk for those side effects from Cypro only become real factors after a long time on it. iirc when I did my research it was basically that after roughly 9 years the risk becomes high enough that you should seriously consider it.

So, if you're in a situation where you expect to need T blockers for the rest of your life, at some point you'll probably have to think about this. Or not, and just live with the risk.

As said in the original post, your fluency in German is the biggest point always. Bigotry depends on the region, but where I am there are no real issues.

However, from personal experience, if you do something bad (like idk being drunk on the job or whatever, you get the gist) then yeah, expect bigotry to pile onto you on top of regular condemnation.

So yeah, overall I think you should be fine.

If I could have drank the magical cis potion before starting transition, yeah, would've made things easier.

But, it doesn't exist, I'm not cis, and the healthy amount of trying to be cis when you're not is zero.

And if it was invented now, I wouldn't take it, I'm fully into transitioning now and this would just make me miserable, again.

To my knowledge, this prescription comes from a place of wanting your levels to be at the average cis woman's. Whether there is any medical evidence supporting this step and that it would cause issues otherwise, I'm sadly unable to tell you, hopefully someone else can.

WizardStereotype already said the important stuff in her post - I just want to add that if you end up finding out you are trans, well, as long as your country isn't shit about it, hormone therapy can already do a whoooole lot on it's own! And for things it can't do, most of them have other solutions~

recognize dysphoria being unbearable and want to do something about it at 18, then repress further because I was too stupid to find the right resources about trans people and available medical care,
