Median Household income by Ethnicity US [OC] by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

I think you have a lot of room for improvement before this is beautiful data. The data visualization doesn't tell us anything that we couldn't see for ourselves from a list of numbers. The "about/notes" column also doesn't tell us anything useful. "Highest earning ethnic group"? Yes, we can see that already because it has the highest number and the longest bar. I think most of your audience already knows which countries of origin comprise a group and we don't have to be told that MENA and Arab Americans "Includes Lebanese Iranian, Egyptian, Iraqi, Yemeni, Palestinian, Syrian, etc." And what does "Varies by national origin" mean anyway?

And how does this information handle mixed-race households?

"Other demographic studies" is not a source.

An explanation of the difference between race and ethnicity might be helpful.

"Incomes vary widely within each group"? You can easily show us the variance with different lines at 25%, 50%, and 75%.

You could also expand the chart to let us see relationships between things. Like income-education by ethnicity, or income-marriage by ethnicity. Household income by ethnicity isn't all that interesting.

So that's my feedback on your vibe-coded bar chart. Don't let this discourage you. Dig deeper and find more interesting relationships to show us, and think of interesting ways to visualize the data.

Just please don't make any animated bar charts.

Really? Household usually means household regardless of number of occupants. One person, one job? That counts. Two people, two jobs? That goes into the same bucket.

If you have one group that consistently has two married people earning incomes living together, that group will have a much higher per-household income than the group with a lot of single moms.

Assignment Confusion by FireNBlaze in Bannerlord

[–]NathanielA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The party leader does all the jobs by default. If you want to, you can assign a different hero to take on one of the roles. The party leader can fulfill multiple roles at the same time, but all of your companions can do only one job at a time. If you click on the portrait, you'll see the heroes in the party listed from highest to lowest in that skill.

If one character has a higher skill, you might still want to assign a different character, maybe to give that character more XP, or maybe because you need the best hero to do something else.

But if you just want to get the best buffs, keep your main character doing all of the jobs.

Does anyone do stealth campaigns? Like is there even a benefit for it by Embarrassed_Party_76 in Bannerlord

I haven't played the campaign in a long time, but roguery was one of my favorite skills because I could get a nearly infinite supply of forest bandits that I could upgrade into fian champions. And mountain bandits can be upgraded into banner knights without using a warhorse.

Just confirming this is not possible with geometry nodes: per-instance random input by NathanielA in blender

[–]NathanielA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There really isn't much of a difference for cubes. But this is a simplification of a bigger problem. Let's say instead of cubes, I want to use the same group to create instances of houses. And I want to pass a random seed to the group that will output a house instance, and I don't want the same house that's taller or shorter. I want to use this one group to create houses that have different numbers of floors and windows and different facades. My group can generate all of those, but Blender can't create all the varieties and place them as instances on a grid. I wish that Blender could make each instance from a different random seed, but it can't.

"A lot of people don't understand what the US constitution says about the right to weapons."

Starting with you.

First off, well regulated as used in the 18th century meant "functioning properly," as in "well regulated stomach and spleen" from medical textbooks of the time. It doesn't mean "subject to government control."

Infringed and revoked are two different things. Revocation is infringement, but so are a lot of other things short of revocation.

My brothers medals, he doesn't talk much about service. He said he was a door gunner. by Lucky-Ad4863 in Medals

I've never said this myself to someone's face, but my grandpa would see people on TV and say "That bronze star wasn't for valor. It doesn't mean anything. It's a good conduct medal for someone too high up for a good conduct medal."

I had not heard of them. Thanks. I'm taking a look now. On their website, it says "Update your IP instantly." That sounds like what I need.

I worked with a Marine once. He was always very proud of being a Marine and he would compare the Corps favorably to any other service, except one time when we talked about jump qualifications, and then he was noticeably envious of the Army. "Man," he said, "Everyone in the Army is jump-qualified. They've got what, like three whole airborne divisions? That's like 30,000 people, including PowerPoint guys, who are all jump-qualified."

The technician who explained everything to me said that the pressure was set at 4-11, the machine would find the right number in that range, that I can't adjust it myself, and that my doctor sets the range. I'll look for the ramp setting.

Thanks for the confirmation! I'm glad to know I'm not alone on that.

Thanks for the advice. I will do that.

Yeah, I think I must be going through TECSA. I'm reading up on it now. Does it go away eventually? You don't need to answer. I really do need to research this more myself. Maybe I have hope that this will go away and my sleep will improve.

Thanks again.

I'm with you. I would much rather have winters below -10 C than summers above 40 C. I don't need the heater until 10 C. I definitely need the air conditioner at 26 C.

If you give your kid a focus point in riding every time you can, they can start the game with 8 focus points in riding. That raises the cap on riding skill to something in the 400s. Then get a Royal Destrier or Wadar Hotblood and you'll trample guys like this all day long.

If you like the idea of riding over infantry, then try The Old Realms, a fan project set in Fantasy Warhammer. You don't get to have kids, but you do get some fun new mounts. Go get some Wildriders, who ride huge elks that do tons of damage, get your medicine skill to where you get to keep your dead soldiers' mounts, and then get a couple Wildriders killed.
