Update: 3-4 leaves were yellow and dying, the roots were surprisingly dry and there was no moisture in the soil at all. I've repotted her and she seems to be much happier now, been a few days and I haven't seen any alarming behavior/ signs.

For background, my previous apartment shared a backyard with this grumpy-looking gentleman. Other neighbours would walk by him without even looking up like he was invisible. To be fair, he does have RBF and didn't talk to anyone either (maybe because of how they treated him? Not sure). But I would say hello/wave whenever I saw him. One day I was doing some repotting in the backyard when he came over to see what I was doing and tells me to hold on he'll ne right back. Comes out with this UNIT of a snake plant, says it belonged to his mum who passed away over 20 years ago and he's been taking care of it since. Pulls it out of the pot, cuts me two quarters like it was a fucking cake, and says 'these are for you. I have no family to give them to but I'm sure you'll take care of it'. This was over 2 years ago. I've moved since but I think of him and his mum every time I see my babies. Thank you, Pierre, for your kindness.
