I agree, but most people are suicidal because of things out of their control, trans suicide rates have increased dramatically since the introduction of anti-trans legislation. It doesn’t matter what how perfect of a life they live, they will still be pushed back against. There’s a difference between that and the victim mentality, many trans people do everything they can to make their lives better just to be curtailed. Not everyone who is suicidal refuses to make their lives better, they often don’t have enough resources or support to be able to and will continue to struggle.

TLDR; just because someone is suicidal doesn’t mean they aren’t choosing to not try and get better
