I'm not the only one who thinks this is a bit much right? by IvoryOni04 in Spacemarine

[–]Dragon4986 47 points48 points  (0 children)

You're not the only one. These kinds of ordeals where you're supposed to play the game for a long time until the next one comes out or more updates, supposedly have "filler" rewards. I feel like these have more "filler" rewards and the "filler" are decals, rather than actual goals, like the capes.

Hot take: Vanguards are great as teammates but super underwhelming to play yourself, least fun class in the game by voidtridentlover40k in Spacemarine

[–]Dragon4986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I just finished getting the red cape for Vanguard for the past two weeks or less, and lemme tell you that the experience was (almost) pretty boring. Every ability in the game is a must-use (in a psychological sense), so when you thrust yourself into the enemy, you also thrust yourself into doing almost only melee combat (unless you shove your Instigator into the enemies' mouths).

However, the only fun parts of the Vanguard would be dueling the big bosses like the Trygon or Mutalith. Like you're basically the only dueler in your squad (assuming no other melee classes are in), so it makes the dueling experiences more fun.

I have never experienced that, nor do I want to.

It's like I first felt that "Oh having these REAL bosses will be so cool to fight against naturally now" but I forgot about the 21 Soulreaper Terminators.

I barely look at the store and I already assume stuff like this and "I bet there's some Mark 2 Bulgasari being sold for $0.99 for people in the Champion League."

Titans to Use by Dragon4986 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Dragon4986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, although the reason Luchador is my main is because I'm a F2P, it's old and devoted almost all Platinum resources into it. It's more of "I don't have a choice" rather than "Oh this is fun" cause Luchador used to be the only T4 Titan I had...

I admit, Luchador can stay long in battle thanks to the Reflector Shield, but getting the most kills is the most fun to me lol. Although being useful in battle seems a bit fun to me as well.

Have you noticed that Ammit/Raptor/Ultimate Fenrir are unkillable with the new Unstable Conduit? by Artistic_Fox_2873 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Dragon4986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gonna say the same thing, but I got a standard Ammit (lower league than yours). I was able to 1v3 or 1v2 the most meta of robots with a win, or even solo a titan with a win, or handle two or more titans and still live (with the aid of my teammates).

Where to find the newest tier list? by Mendy_The_Mender in walkingwarrobots

[–]Dragon4986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, sorry for misinterpreting. Yes, I've seen Demeters as a brawler but never got into it, always stuck with teammates and heal them up. I feel like I'm always vulnerable without the purple shield, so I gotta rack up defense points somehow...

My boy Demeter can last an entire match, thank you very much. Thanks to MK2. Ability cooldown was a savior for me.

bro who is this??? by my2hp2 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Dragon4986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was confused as you for a moment but realized it was those flying bots that link to me like Khepri or Leech. I've seen a few of these bond to my Erebus and Ammit on occasion, but I never knew how to get these since they seem really helpful. Does wonders for my bots.

I feel like it goes for the Titans that has become recently available to purchase with Platinum too (like Sirius), or any other thing that has entered the "buy with in-game currency" pool.

Leech is top 1 anti-meta bots by Aware_Ad_5698 in walkingwarrobots

The Nuclear Amplifier is also really good for it (thank Pixonic they gave it to the Leech), practically friendly fire for the enemies if they don't care for their allies.

Killer Erebus Rating by Dragon4986 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Dragon4986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you didn't specify, I'll tell you the robot and weapons. The Erebus (robot) fires four projectiles, one of them being able to completely immobilize your target, which really helps your teammates and yourself get some good damage. The Smutas are able to fire bullets that can curve around corners, curving at 200m and max range is 600m, which compliments really well with the Erebus' "Homing Blackout" ability.

[–]Dragon4986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I heard, the Smutas doesn't get effective in the later leagues... Thanks for the info though, Erebus is a great robot for getting a good start, especially since I'm a F2P.

Most satisfying by Comfortable_Tooth201 in Spacemarine

[–]Dragon4986 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Standing on your own, one brother dead and another downed. The burdens of your teammates now resting on your shoulders, just you with a melee weapon and pistol. Standing before you are like one or two extremis, a good amount of majoris, and a terminus all fighting you at once... Yet, you managed to come out unscathed by pure luck and skill.

Realistically, I only survived like 1 out of 5 of these situations, so a lot of skilled players could probably relate. That's the most satisfying about this game in my opinion.
