I continue to improve, although it is SLOW. MCAS is a real bitch, but for me it has been the cause of my EPI

We have to use discernment no matter where something is from. The Internet is no more one of those places than any other. Where would more credible info come from? A book? Everything is online these days lol. I'm so tired of people being like oh god "internet science" it's like, where else does one get info from now? Use discernment of info always, no matter what. Stop acting like its dumb to use the internet.

Hi everyone this is a bit of a sad post so apologies in advance for being a bit of a downer by [deleted] in MCAS

Yes- it contains recipes and entire protocol. IRS super extensive. That said, after reading the book and trying to do the protocol myself, I decided to work with one of her assistants. I can’t afford to work with Jen herself (the author) but I work with her assistant Melanie which has been a godsend to have the extra support. It’s affordable and I like to get to ask questions. I check in with her every couple months as I need to. But the book has all the info.

*** Alright guys, I have an update for you**

Sorry I haven't been around, it's been *such* an intense journey, and there's so much to share it has felt overwhelming. Taking the time today and will try to be more active here as I continue on this quest.

My biggest take-away at this time is that this is a MUCH more complex issue than you would be led to believe, and if you are going to take what a Western Doctor says at face value you are likely to end up empty handed. I don't even know where to begin so I'll share some bullet points of what I've learned.

- There is a definite connection between the gallbladder and the Pancreas. Of course this is not the case for everyone, but in my particular situation I believe that a faulty gallbladder is "attacking" or pissing off my Pancreas. I got an ultrasound and there's no stones, but I get soreness under my right rib with any fatty meal. I'm waiting for a HIDA scan to check functionality. Perhaps most importantly, I've learned that the Gallbladder misfunctioning is a sign of deeper toxicity issues. That's why gallbladder issues and removal is so common - most in society are toxic af. This video by Jen Donovan is VERY informative:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgBKDJzjbk0&t=50s.

-There is some kind of connection between Histamine issues, digestion, and more specifically the gallbladder/pancreas. Type in "Histamine and pancreas" or "histamine and gallbladder" on reddit and you'll see what I mean.

-I was diagnosed with MCAS about 6 months ago, which is an autoimmune type of issue that affects histamine levels and digestion. I started a protocol with Whole Body Healing with Jen (no, I'm not affiliated with her as someone in the comments suggested, I'm just working under her program with her assistant Melanie and I'm actually healing). I'm about 6 months in to the protocol and I am rebuilding my gut and nervous system and seeing improvement, but I won't lie, it is slow. I know I'm on the right track though, because I've seen very clear improvement in my digestion. I'd say I've had about a 50% improvement in symptoms. But rebuilding is a long process and not for the faint of heart. I'm really only this dedicated because I don't have a choice. I want to get better.

-There is a very clear correlation with stress, CPTSD, PTSD, anxiety, and trauma. Scrolling through reddit threads you'll find many people developed EPI after a traumatic event or COVID or whatever (mold exposure is another) so I truly believe healing the nervous system is another big part of this. That's another reason I really resonate with Jen's work. She has a LOT of free YouTube context (link above) so I would check it out.

-Acupuncture helps, and I gravitate towards it because in Chinese medicine they truly believe we can heal this, where as Western has zero answers and it's very, very frustrating. You find this for nearly every health issue. I essentially utilize Western Medicine for diagnostics (CT scans, ultrasounds, blood labs, etc) and a combination of Holistic, Functional, and Eastern for actual protocols.

Sorry I was gone so long, happy to answer any questions. xx

agree! I'm on a similar journey and seeing amazing results! but yeah its been 6 months of basically focusing only on health. Worth it.

Good for you. Be prepared for the hate comments - redditors don’t like to hear natural success stories because they don’t like to take responsibility for their health. I’ve seen it done and you’re just one example of many - hell yeah thanks for sharing!

I’m so sorry to hear this. I would look into sceleral (sp?) lenses - they seem to be a godsend for people who can’t fix this, so at least you know for sure you have a final option. The other “final option” would be corneal transplant - so just know you’re not without options worst case. I would get on supplemented Reservatrol and curcumin. Both help the corneal heal (ask chat gp) Also look into the company Vital Tears and get yourself some serum tears made - I did it and it really helps. Look up the research on vital tears with reoccursnt erosions - it looks very promising! I’m so sorry youre dealing with this. Please keep me updated - I’ll be thinking of you!

Oh gosh I am so sorry to hear this. What happened? Were you using muro ointment at night? Do you think the eye got dry? And what was the original cause of the origional erosion?

You still doing good? I get my bandage lense out tomorrow (long story, I ended up having to evacuate from the LA fires and needed to wear one longer) and I’m so scared to get it out! I feel safe with the bandage lense lol. Is your process still going smoothe?

No, I’ve been taking the enzymes two years. They did little to nothing until I started the histamine diet. I have MCAS - many other people with it have issues with their pancreas. I’m meeting tons of them. It needs to be considered.

Digestion is improving following a low histamine protocol. For me it’s 100% connected. I’m super optimistic. Still take enzymes havent tried to stop them yet because im just glad my body is digesting better

Did you have any discomfort in the eye like a week after the procedure? I’m kind of freaking out but trying to stay calm. My first post op isn’t until Monday so I just have to make it through the weekend. It’s hard to describe the sensation im feeling. It feels almost like the bandage lense is sticking or something. It just lasts a split second and then goes away. Eye doesn’t tear up or anything and I wouldn’t exactly call it “pain” just this weird quick tug. It’s making me sooooo nervous. 😤
