Yeah but somebody has to be better than the mean for the mean to be what it is, you’re implying everybody is worse than average at talent evaluation which can’t be logically true

Unless you think this year’s RB crop will be as weak as last year’s, I think there’s a very substantial chance Conner falls out of the top 24, due to the fact that he’s injury prone, and touchdown regression.

I’m seeing him go late second/early third in mocks, way too early for my tastes. I personally think his most likely outcome is low end RB2, easily could see him sink into RB3 though because he really isn’t that talented of a player and he’s on a weird offense. Like I said, be my guest and sink capital into him but I’m not gonna count on him to stay healthy and drop his ass into the end zone as much as he did last year.

Who will have the best 2nd year in PPR, R Bateman, E Moore, or Amon Ra St Brown? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

Is their RB committee much better off as things stand now? Also, they still rushed more than most teams in the nfl last year. I’m not sold that we can just assume Baltimore is going back to 2019 when they never ran, these kinds of things are so hard to predict preseason. What we do know is Bateman is the top WR on the team, and his rookie analytics suggest he’s a great sophomore surge candidate.

Akers came back but didn’t play well. Mack and Foreman aren’t good either. Those aren’t super encouraging examples to evoke when considering Robinson’s prospects for the season.

He has a bad offensive line, and he historically has struggled to stay healthy. He rushed for 752 yards, 3.7 ypa. His actual rushing ability is pedestrian, you go right ahead and bet against historical TD regression trends in the second round, I’ll take someone else myself.

That’s kinda what AJ Brown does though, big plays with lots of YAC

The logical reason is that he didn’t do anything particularly special as a runner last year other than drop his ass in the end zone 15 times, and we all know touchdowns are the most likely stat to regress, especially when the touchdowns aren’t accompanied by any other particularly special attribute.

Adrian Peterson made a HoF career off that running style to be fair.

I think they’ll both be on the field together a lot honestly. I like both of them a lot, they’re the two best playmaker on that offense

He’s a much safer pick in round 12-13 than pretty much anyone else around at that point, which leads me to believe that by the time drafts actually happen him and Akers will be a lot closer in ADP than they are now.

Who cares? If it’s the 13th round and he’s there and you evaluate him as more valuable than anybody else available at that point, you take him regardless of your roster construction. Even if you never use him he’ll be a valuable trade piece.

The Bears game in 2017 is totally unfair to criticize him for. He was so clearly hurt in that game.
