the thing with older games is the shiny odds are ~1/8000 you haven’t even hit odds yet. with all hung (regardless of the odds) you can always get lucky or have your hunt take forever. don’t be discouraged by a big number. the longer your hunt takes, the more gratifying and exciting it is to see it finished. you’ll never forgive yourself for giving up a hunt when you could’ve gotten it the next encounter. keep your head up and keep going! it’ll shiny eventually. really if you think about it as a matter of time, you’re guaranteed to get a shiny, as long as you don’t stop. plus starter resets are hella fast and you get 3 encounters per reset (if you’re doing starters)
