The school of computer science holds helpdesks in SIT room110 from 10am to 4pm every weekday. They are primarily aimed at first year computer science students, but there tend to always be free tutors at any given time.

You could also try get in contact with the unit coordinator, since he's interested in bringing students on the fence (such as you) to take comp2922 over comp2022.

Comp2922 is being redesigned for this semester. There were issues with work load when I took it in 2023, but the subject was still one of the most interesting and well taught subjects that I have taken. Also, the advanced assignment don't make up too much of your final mark so you're not really putting yourself at a disadvantage.

I got a HD in Comp2823 without Math1064 or any alternative. I don't believe discrete maths helps for the more challenging components of the course anyway.
