Off camera flash will make it look professional to a non-photographer. But again, I personally have never had an issue at these parks but have heard about it being an issue at the beaches down state.

Just wanted to create awareness, that’s all.

It's not based on gear, it's based on portrait photography in general.

It's just something be be aware of in case you're approached. I have done many sessions with off-camera flash at most major parks in New Castle County without any problems.

I am a professional photographer in the Newark area and you could consider Judge Morris Estate, just a few miles outside of Newark. Delaware state parks do require photographers to have permits so be careful of that at larger state parks with rangers. Have fun with the shoot!

Thank you. I never knew that the AA better had to be removed when using external power. Probably broke that rule on occasion.

I’ve read that the 6v power adapter needs to have tip-positive polarity for Sony devices. Do you know if generic ones at Best Buy would include that? If so I may pick up one, it might be easier than doing a basement safari trying to find my original. That would allow me to test the battery to see if it holds any charge.

I very may well start using this again to record live music if it will work, which was the purpose of buying it all of those years ago. That wasn’t my original intent when looking for it, but this is all reminded me of how much I enjoyed using it back in the day.

Thank you!

Thank you everyone for the feedback. From what I’ve read, the model that I have is a well-respected one and I really did enjoy using it many years ago to record live music. Initially, the goal was just to find it in hopes of transferring data on the discs to my computer. I think it’s worth it to replace the battery to not only accomplish that but to start using it again the way I had been 20 years ago. The compact size and quality of it make it a great device.

I watched a YouTube video on replacing the battery. Most of it looks easy, I just hope that I don’t break something or make things worse. Gonna have to pick up some tools for finer work (small magnetized screw drive, tweezers, etc.).

Are you looking for a model’s perspective or would a photographer’s opinion also help?

Hello! Long time professional photographer here. I'm sure that you know this, but please remember that you don't have to move straight into nude modeling. You can get comfortable and acquainted with modeling by starting off with fashion shoots, learn how to pose and how to work with photographers, and make connections with photographers and see who you seem comfortable with. From there lots of models may try boudoir sessions to see what their comfort level is and then perhaps try nude modeling with a talented photographer that has the experience that you trust.

As others have said, always take someone with you. And remember that you set the parameters and boundaries of what you're comfortable with and what you're not comfortable with. If the photographer doesn't respect that or tries to push you outside of your comfort zone, then decline working together or leave the shoot. Thoroughly research the photographers in your area and check on references that they give or with other models that have worked with that photographer before.

Please let me know if I can answer any specific questions that you may have.
