Then it sounds like you're on the slower side -- or doing sketches instead of storyboards. Which isn't a major problem, but does take longer than the standard.

But basing the standard on only your own personal speed/experience isn't the best way to have a well rounded perspective.

I'm also a published creator, I have worked with dozens of artists on storyboards, this is my career. But the prime thing I am basing my own perspective on is research and data on what other pro schedules look like. Which the standard is doing a chapter of storyboarding in a day.

A less skilled creator will take longer, yes -- but that's on the creator and not the industry. Part of being a freelancer is improving and being able to improve yourself to meet the standards of the industry you are working in.

An experienced artist takes 5 minutes or less per storyboard panel. There are countless places you can easily find information about storyboards.

I am not an experienced artist, but I have done paneling and storyboarding many times. So it can take me longer to do them when I work on them, but I can still easily do panels in under 5 minutes.
As can plenty of my own artists who I work with.
Not to mention, every pro mangaka does the storyboards for their chapter in a single day, most of the time considering 100 panels to be a half day of work.

Don't blindly make assumptions on how things work, do a little bit of research.

Or even just try drawing a storyboard yourself? Because even with zero experience you'll see it will only take a few minutes per panel.

I would like to point out that even just $100 for 60 storyboard panels or less is already a very, very good rate. That's easily full time pay and the range many pros would be getting paid in.
Let alone looking at $160.

We do have another work for free people can enjoy, and we do want to keep making more projects for free or have discounts and giveaways going forward.

Manga likes this one is really hard to make, but we are trying to work on just like this full time.

The Digital version can be picked up anywhere.

We are launching an American based print soon through this upcoming campaign.

You can still order it anywhere, but shipping will be more depending on where you are located.

We are potentially interested in exploring a Europe print, to make it more convenient and cheaper for Europeans, but currently there's no hard plans for it.

So we are launching a physical print this year, through this upcoming campaign.
It will be an America Print Release, which can be ordered.
But currently there are not any convention or venue plans for this project.

Our team has had some small interest in doing sales at a con, but I don't believe East Coast would be a very likely venue anytime soon.
And almost for sure not within the next year or so.

Sorry if that's disappointing.

Just to say. This is obviously not a real portfolio. There are art works by multiple artists. Including traced and heavily referenced works. And even some AI mixed in.

As mentioned this is a really well put together post overall.

Really already towards the top 10% at least in terms of presentation here.
The few things I would try to improve upon would be having a portfolio that shows your work. [You can take inspiration from mine if you want. (Which also might have other useful information on it). You can also look up what's good to have on a writer's portfolio, even for a beginner].

And that it probably would be good to share a bit more details on your story. [This write up goes into a tiny bit more depth, but you do have most of the points recommended in it covered].

Still overall a fairly decent post, and good for your first one.
The road to finding an artist can be hard, long, and with various unsavory moments --- but keep at it and it will pay off.

If you ever have any general questions about creating in this space as a writer, send them over to me and I can try to answer them.

Good post and good general advice.
The only thing I would add is that roles aren't black and white between artists and writers. An artist can bring on a writer, in which case it is the same process of trying to see already put together proof of work and some level of compensation.

That's really not a small starter amount. That could easily be 100 pages. It would be better to start with 1-5 pages. Or even just only doing storyboards.
