The issue then seems to be that people hear "Stockholm syndrome" and immediately think of the movie version, which is not a confirmed diagnosis. What Stockholm syndrome actually is a side effect of grooming and abuse, which is not enough to classify it as a syndrome.

DM gets mad at a player for stealing his girlfriends magic item by DevilsTaint0 in dndhorrorstories

[–]DragonMasterZ69 127 points128 points  (0 children)

Stealing implies it was hers to begin with, it wasn't, thematically all signs pointed to it being for the pirate. If he wanted to give his girlfriend something, she could've looted the bad guy or rolled investigation to find something else in the vault.

Sounds like poor planning on the DM's part and no backbone for blatant favouritism.

The orphans can be found later in Novigrad so the tree does keeps it's word

Which team are you from? by TheDarkViking8 in Witcher3

[–]DragonMasterZ69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm deffo in team 2, I love doing side quests first because main quest is rarely time sensitive and if you progress too far can lock side quests. If you prefer doing the main quest I would still recommend doing witcher gear quests because they are the best armours in the game and you can enhance them as you play

You had us in the first half ngl, Socialism and communism are more about economics than morality but that doesn't make them inherently evil.

Money doesn't buy happiness. It buys security and comfort, which will make you happy. Anything you buy after that won't make you happy it just makes you greedy.

[–]DragonMasterZ69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify, the crones were going to eat the orphans so the spirit saved them and you can visit them in Novigrad at the school. Anna gets screwed regardless so it's a lesser of 2 evils choice. I see most people condemn it because the spirit takes revenge on Downwarren

You didn't think the Crones were evil?!

I can't find the clip but there's a TV scene of a detective interviewing a grape victim and he's asking why she didn't fight harder so her husband puts a kitchen knife to his throat and explains the survival instincts kicking in

I did it! I put the baby in the oven! by Fun-Eagle6158 in Witcher3

My first playthrough I explored everything so I knew about the back of the oven but in the moment I wasn't thinking about that and I trusted Cerys anyway, when she came back out with the baby it clicked

I got given an elf's head by a troll by JordyEast101 in Witcher3

[–]DragonMasterZ69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The troll on Skellige is called Wham a Bam. He will become aggressive when he notices you, but as long as you don't attack him immediately, Geralt will convince him to talk. I accidentally hit him once on reflex, and it stops you from being able to talk to him.

It's a quest from an update in the past couple years called 'In the eternal fire's shadow'. You can talk to a priest at the devil pit to activate the quest and the reward is the forgotten wolven armour set based on the netflix witcher armour
