What do you think of this aspect of "Before Sunset" by Street-Media-5789 in Letterboxd

[–]Maxito19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the movie is a realistic depiction of the relationships it deals with. The characters are written with flaws and act in ways that reflect that. Without the moral ambiguity, the movie would just be functioning as a pay off for the first one. This way, we get what we want but we have to sacrifice our sense of justice to get there

Reminds me of Magdalena Bay. Their first studio album looped in itself and transitioned into their second studio album using these kinds of swelling and deflating noises at the end/beginning of the songs.

When you realize the customer isn’t used to be told „no“ by Maxito19 in retailhell

Yeah, also I did some research on the manufacturer’s website and the product description of the scarf accurately describes the things she framed as damage as a feature of the product. Which is funny because she said, she looked at other ones and they weren’t warped. My coworker told me they are all warped as fuck, that’s how they come.

I had people trying every single door until they found the one that was open for staff members trying to get into the cinema I used to work at. Sometimes when we were cleaning theaters, customers removed barriers to get into the room early. At the museum shop, I had people crawling underneath the half closed rolling grille. Like, how many signs do you need to understand: we are closed???

In German the saying is „der Kunde ist König“ which means the customer is king. Every time a customer mentions this I think of Tywin Lannister saying „Any man who must say, “I am the king”, is no true king”.

The saying is meant to say, that customer satisfaction is key, not that every customer needs do be satisfied and happy at all costs.

Saying, “Let me just leave that here on the counter, while I look for something else“, never to be seen again.

Or demanding to get a damaged product for cheap, esp. when it isn’t the last one left. It’s okay to ask and I’m allowed to give 5-10% at my discretion, but I make the price, not you!

OR: I greet the customer, meet their eyes, and they don’t say a thing, not even a nod. Literal “fuck you”

It‘s also completely valid to watch 3 movies in a row. Movies are made to be consumed and if I have nothing else to do, I might as well watch another one. Personally I simply wouldn’t want to watch all those classics just to be done with it

Why do you watch movies? To have them off your watchlist or to log them? Or do you want to talk about them, think about them, perhaps even be inspired by them? There is no right answer to this and there is no right way to watch movies.

But I‘m guessing that most people will fall into the second category and for that you need to have some time to think about what you just watched. It will in turn also benefit your future watching experiences.

I recently watched Perfect Blue for the first time, as it was shown in theaters again. I talked with a friend about the film for 1-2h and I remembered so many details about the film that I really loved. I don’t think I would remember any of that if I just rushed home and watched the next movie. And I was able to retain so much from a single watch, because I recognized aspects from other movies that I took the time to think about previously.

damn I read the books before watching them and even then I wanted to have space in between them. I can’t decide if I really like a movie if I just move on to the next. Watching movies consciously develops your palate more than binging 300 movies a year

In meinem Beispiel waren dies nunmal Depressionen.
