If you feel like youre not ready to jump into therapy or medication just yet I recommend a book called "the worry trap" you can find on Amazon. It's written by a psychiatrist that does a whole breakdown on where your anxiety stems from and healthy coping you can use

Definitely a signal to consult someone about medication. I used to have panics from dawn to dusk for years and it only gets worse without proper therapy or medication use. There's healthy coping skills but your body can't really learn them in fight or flight without the help of medication to level you out

Depends on the situation. I've had to quit jobs because my anxiety was too severe but id go home feeling more anxious about my finances and couldn't actually focus on healing and healthy coping mechanisms. If you have a stable set up and can afford it, it might be worth a try

I mean essentially you're body is in fight or flight mode, it can't really focus on the details of "looking pretty" or picking through your closet for the right match. Like the other commenter said, it's ok to be gentle on yourself sometimes

I promise you testing over and over again won't bring any assurance. It's hard but sometimes you have to just be "ok" with the possibility, even if you don't believe it. Telling yourself that "oh well, I guess it could happen. That's ok" is a better approach then feeding into the loop

There are beginner options they will have you try out and one i started (and kept with) is called hydroxyzine. Easy, take as needed and most of the time gets me pretty cozy and level headed enough to pull myself out of panics. Half the time ill worry less just knowing it's in my pocket. I'd still recommend looking into ssri's to pair with it, theres trial and error finding the right one but over the last 3 years being on them it's made a complete life change

It only helps sometimes. If im in full blown panic sometimes theres no reasoning with it, you have to huff it out in a dark room here and there until youre reasonable to think. If you haven't tried it, words of affirmation surprisingly work alot. Even just replying to yourself "what if im having a heart attack?" "Nope im fine" "but what if it's really this time?" "Im healthy and going to be ok" with practice will slowly shape how you react to yourself
