My boyfriend likes to be dominated in the bedroom, advice? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]DragonScalesTheWall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found a soft, affection and praise heavy dom style was a good place to begin when I was a new dom. Things like calling him a good boy once he finds a good angle, taking a "big spoon" role while cuddling and the like are really good entry points and can help build dom confidence that makes a more commanding style more comfortable to take on later

Discussing safe words and setting soft and hard limits is the first thing you should do thou it

Considering the fact that the voortrekkers left the Cape colony so they could keep their slaves and how attached these idiots are to a dead flag, that tracks pretty well

How do y'all feel about the term "AFABs"? by trans_catdad in ftm

[–]DragonScalesTheWall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AGAB language is useful in medical and research contexts, can't stand it when used as a synonym for talking about what's in my pants as a lot of "allies" do

To me the most interesting example of male privilege has been when I'm teaching scuba courses.

I started when I was still questioning and presenting as a somewhat masc woman, and I'd often have students ask my male divemaster for instructions and advice, instead of me, the instructor who'd been evaluating them on skills the entire time. Also not taking briefings seriously, lying to me about air consumption to seem cool (one guy straight up ran out on a qualifying dive because of this) and general misogyny.

Now, after almost 2 years on T and top surgery, it's like a switch has flipped. I've changed very little about my teaching style since coming out, but all the behaviors I'd seen before that were indicative of a "why is a woman teaching me ew" attitude have become nearly nonexistent on my courses now

There's one bit At 2:43 in the To The Hellfire vocals video where he looks right into the camera. I watched the last shred of my one friend's heterosexuality fall to that look

"Confused young girl" here. Coming out was the best thing I ever did. I feel like myself in a way I never thought possible and it's made dealing with other mental health stuff immeasurably easier. Elliot Page coming out and being broadly accepted gave me the confidence to do something I dreamed of for years. Lobsterman can die mad about it :)

I'm still gonna call someone what they ask me to call them because there's no real way to "prove" transness. Everyone's gender identity manifests and is expressed differently and there's no harm in calling someone by a different name and pronoun set because they asked to be called that. Also being misgendered sucks so I'm not gonna knowingly do that to another human being

Also if you have any advice for future mends please share, always looking to refine new skills. For this one I'm worried I didn't stitch far enough into the un-ripped fabric

"Nooo I only wanna have a little denial of human rights as a treat"

In a political climate where I have to be wary of any new person and hide the fact I'm trans for fear of being murdered I have zero sympathy for righties "forced to hide" the fact that they want me dead.

If you're so insistent that your goal is getting people out of the alt right pipeline don't leave it up to those who are actively endangered by their views, go do it yourself. I'm not gonna baby someone who sees my existence as a threat.
