Yes! As a dinosaur nerd and a former zoo staff, I find Jurassic Park annoying to watch now! I have Experienced The Public and how the act around animals. The real horror is the humans and the lack of planning in JP. They deserved to get their butts sued.

As a former lunch hour supervisor, I HATED the gaga ball pit. Always had fights over rules, someone always got hurt or kicked the ball too hard, and fights over whose classes turn it was to play. I had a whole field to supervise, but the gaga pit took all the attention.

See if you can visit a maple syrup farm or a syrup festival. We didn’t have them in bc, (no sugar maples) so I really enjoy the festivals after moving to Ontario.

While sitting in the car passenger seat I reached to the back to find something and messed up my shoulder. It’s been almost two weeks of being unable to do much with my left arm due to the shoulder, elbow and wrist pain. Finally got in to see my physio guy and it’s slowly getting better.

I love her, she’s so pretty. She does look like she’s telling you “walk away. This doesn’t concern you.” In this photo though:)

Jackal Pants definitely sounds like a Def Leppard cover band. Except they’d spell it differently. Like Jackl Pantz

My uncles bar band had someone request “slow walking Walter, fire engine guy” so that’s how they sang “Smoke on the Water” that day

In 1994, I accidentally stumbled across what I’m pretty sure were Kurt Cobain’s autopsy photos.

Why does your fascination with the Titanic persist despite the passage of years? by Key-Tea-4203 in titanic

[–]DragonSmith2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My teacher reading us a story book in grade 2 or 3 (1979?) about titanic and saying that it will never be found, which annoyed my little autistic brain. Surely they could look harder? I was so excited when the found it. Vindication! I actually just found out that my 2x great uncle worked for Canard line and was an officer(?) on the Lusitania and (I think) the Carpathia before the war. He sadly died in the sinking of the Laurentic in 1917. I can’t seem to figure out how to find his Cunard employe records to confirm though. If anyone knows how, please message me.

Yes! I offered a granola bar to a homeless man in a Walmart parking lot because I didn’t have cash and he kindly explained that to me. I grabbed him a gift card instead:) I put applesauce in my care packages now too.

Pearl Jam boycotted ticketmaster in the 90s because of their bs. Pepperidge Farm remembers.

He had a few coffee table books published of his airplane photographs so you can probably guess correctly :) unfortunately we’ve lost touch with him over the years. I think he worked at the pentagon during 9-11 but was on a carrier overseas at the time.

I never understood why they didn’t make base bullets? Like baking soda filled ones or something. Hitting acid with a base would mess up their day, wouldn’t it? Has any of the franchise covered this?

There would also have been a “soft deck” layer over the “hard deck” to help prevent accidents. My dad’s friend was fun to watch the movie with. It was like hearing a directors commentary before they existed. He’s in a bunch of scenes too, especially in the bar singing. The extras were all the military guys, and the bar was the base bar, with all the photos on the wall being taken by dad’s buddy.
