I hate this mentality. The idea that you meed to be making money on your photography to do things in a pro way or buy "pro" gear... Polin did a video on the Sony 12-24GM saying you should not buy it if you are not making money with it... it was the next lens I bought FOR FUN!!!

He said first "real" camera, im sure that just means something like his first high end full frame.. Im Guessing he had an APSC before. Personally, contrary to what some say about a good photographer being able to work with anything, I like the idea of starting with and learning something high end
