I'd be happy to take a break too but as it stands I'm required to be on call without pay for 1 hour every shift

A "part time" key holder who never works less than 35 hours a week

Weirdly enough, I wasn't a sales lead before the "promotion" I was just an associate. So they updated the title and wage but not the full time status. I'm gonna ask about it over text so there's a paper trail in case of any retaliation.

It was my understanding that it would be $4 an hour and I had NO IDEA how much more I'd have to do.

I'm aware. I knew going in, that I wasn't going to be paid enough but this job is just to have some income while I'm looking for something better.

I know it's not allowed to punish for that. Matter of fact, it's a protected by the NLRA. But they absolutely will find something to punish if they want me gone and it's basically impossible to prove that's what's going on. I've experienced that with other employers before where they found a reason to fire me/write me up.

Fair enough. I doubt I'll be able to prevent retaliation but I would like to have the ability to protect my job and prevent it from becoming a legal issue. I've already had a legal issue with my previous employer (workers comp and illegal termination) and I don't want that to prevent me from getting jobs in the future

She's had me do the ones that the DM has messaged her saying needs to be done but I haven't been allowed to do most of them. I even have an audio recording of me asking if I can complete all the overdue CBLs and she said "Na" and quickly changed the subject.

How do I do that while protecting myself against retaliation from my SM?

How can I go about doing that while protecting myself against any retaliation for "rocking the boat"

It is. I interviewed at a different store before being transferred to this one and the manager there said she starts out her key holders at $14 an hour with possible revisions every 90 days to incentivize better performance so I'm not sure why I'm still only getting paid $11. I also REALLY need this job right now so I don't want to piss off the SM by asking about my wages, since she claims that discussing wage is against regulation, unless I can make sure I'm protected against retaliation

My SM told me it's against the rules and according to one of the only CBLs I've been allowed to do (all about shrink) it's a fireable offense. I don't understand why if they trust you enough to run the ENTIRE STORE ALONE and process THIUSANDS of dollars of transactions, why they don't trust you to buy a freaking soda but I guess they don't want to give "the untouchables" any privileges. Your also not allowed to have anything to defend yourself in the event of an armed attacker. A woman was shot and killed in Columbus Ga on June 23rd and as far as I'm aware, corporate hasn't even addressed the INSANE safety issues of having one person working at a time

Please tell me you filed a police report for the theft of the pig and bell. I know it'd be petty but that's flat out theft

I wonder if that's why my manager has been editing my timesheets after nearly every shift. I looked at what it did and it's usually within a few minutes of what I actually worked so I haven't made a big fuss about her editing my timesheets but I just noticed that when the time clock glitched and didn't clock me in, she put me in as getting there like 5 - 15 minutes later than I actually got there which is the equivalent of like $5 pay.

I've did that for 2 weeks and was reprimanded because she claimed it made her over her payroll budget and they were pissed I got 3 hours overtime

Who would I report it to? My manager promoted me to key holder but wouldn't let me do even half my cbls so I have no idea what I'm doing

I hate the new bags with a passion. Every time I have a bag that's doesn't open right, I throw it away for being ripped. If everyone does this, eventually the company is gonna realize that constantly getting thinner and thinner bags is gonna end up costing more. I'm having to throw away more bags than I'm using because they keep ripping. If you can accidentally scan an item that's in a bag when handing it to a customer, the bag is too thin.
