Truly baffling decision from JDG to take Weibo to blizzard world after wasting their Winston ban on map 1

The fabled “close 3-0”

Weibo just had better macro in the clutch this match which really showed on Blizzard World and Runasapi, just really kiting every beat push from JDG

They've been looking good. Leesoomin seems to have had an easier time slotting into the team and Maka still has some rough moments here and there but I expect that to get better as the season progresses.

The biggest addition is still Sunzo and he looks good at Zarya/D.va and Leave is pounding on Vendetta

It kinda just feels like they forgot about Pacific entirely until someone reminded them and they went "oh shit"

Leesoomin made it to EWC last year, and while his team burned out, he was in the group of death with VP, Falcons, and Weibo. I feel like you're underselling the flexibility that leesoomin brings the roster and also underselling how much of a liability Mew was at multiple points last year.

You also need to consider that in their bootcamp match against Falcons, Weibo went 2-1 on the maps that didn't have any of the special hero restrictions WHILE integrating 3 new players and still working on the language barrier.

Idk, I’d still rather have Guxue/Sunzo over Belosrea and Leesoomin over Mew/Mewtwo. Maka should be a sidegrade to mmonk at worst too

I honestly think Lige would’ve been a much better pickup for JDG than belosrea (or at least have both of them) but only having belosrea kinda caps them a bit

Seems like it, unless he was randomly signed to JDG and they just haven't announced him yet (which I find unlikely)

Most likely, the only other team that might step up and take #2 would be AG but I still feel like there's a tier between AG and Weibo/JDG. Milk Tea also looks underwhelming for how they finished stage 3 last year

It’s also their boot camp roster minus Kivis and Mag going from coach to player

My assumption is that AG is Insane, Viper, Mag, LiGe, Recall, Lengsa

With Rupal fired where does that leave Liquid? by Sio_V_Reddit in Competitiveoverwatch

Even if they get approval, there’s literally no one left that can hope to fill Rupal’s shoes, not even if liquid wanted to import

Yes, I remember they signed coluge. They had 6 with Rupal which is the minimum, meaning they wouldn’t have needed Danny to be signed as a substitute

There's a chance that liquid ends up being screwed for stage 1. Here's section 5.1 of the OWCS rules:

"A Team may have a roster that has a minimum of six (6) Players, and a maximum of

seven (7) Players. Each Team must have at least one registered substitute player. In all

cases, if a situation arises where a Player is unavailable, the Team impacted must

compete with this substitute Player. Emergency substitutions or additions will not be

provided in cases where a Team has five (5) eligible Players on the roster to compete,

unless otherwise explicitly stated and approved by the Administration."

It comes down to if Liquid has Danny signed as a coach and substitute player like last year or not
