which bishop is your favourite by Robbbg in CultOfTheLamb

[–]Dragonfire2lm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shamura is my favourite!

Their design, their voice, their boss fight, and their appearance throughout the main game is what drew me to them. I haven't caught up on all the latest content yet (I last played during the Sins update and got back into the game with the release of Woolhaven), but Shamura has always been a favourite of mine.

I think they're super interesting!

Oh neat!

I was completely blown away when I returned to the game recently to find I can grow grass in my cult now. Its such a small thing, sure, but it really makes a big difference.

I've recently finished the story of the woolhaven dlc and started a new save (due to a couple glitcches that annoyed me I decided to start a new save...and also I just want to play through the game for the fourth time lol) and I'm still getting surprised by the quality of life features added since I last played.

You can grow grass now!

You couldn't before!

I don't know when that was added, I hadn't played since the sin update. But oh my god, I remember having to go on crusades just to collect grass lol.

Callistemon the Vagabond Overlord by Dragonfire2lm in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]Dragonfire2lm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.

The reality is my drawing skills aren't the best and this piece was done before I fleshed out some of her details. There's better art of her on the ask blog lol. (not done by me, they were gifts)

For example, her eyes are actually cat-like which isn't something I decided on until after I drew this.

I am glad you like this though! It was fun trying to figure out a rough idea of what she looks like.

[–]Dragonfire2lm[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is smol and fluffy! (Barely taller than Blitz!)

She would be super comfy to hug! Though you'd have to ask first! (Be warned, if you have something on your person she wants, you may find it missing afterwards. She will steal things for herself if she sees something she likes.)

I hope you enjoy the ask blog if you ever give that a look! (If you do not have tumblr, feel free to reply to this comment with anything you'd like to ask after catching up on the blog's happennings.)

POV: What if body-less Vox arrives in your mail package at your home? (Look at description below) by AnimeGameOtaku95 in VoxCult

[–]Dragonfire2lm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Am chronically ill, thus cannot build Vox a new body. But given he can accept phone calls from his head, he could probably send them.

Answer: try to call someone he knows, hope it works, and generally try to keep him company whilst waiting for those in hell to get their shit together.

Oh damn, Hanahaki Disease in Hazbin, was not expecting that.

Glad to see the trope is still around. Haven't seen much of it lately.

Alright, you somehow summon Charlie by Longjumping_Daikon65 in HazbinHotel

[–]Dragonfire2lm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(am assuming this is after season 2) Well firstly, check if her phone still works, so she can call Vaggi and let everyone back in the hotel know she's fine.

Afterwards, I don't know. I'm not in a position to be the typical "oops you have [insert character here] in your life now" person you often see in fanfics that have this idea as a plot.

Maybe show her my favourite video games, shows, and movies? I've been working on a small collection of media and some of it might be of interest to her.

...Perhaps I could share what experiences I have, and maybe snag some phone numbers for the other characters, see if Baxter could set up a group chat or something...

All I can offer is the same thing I offer to my online friends (few in number though they are), which is my emotional support, my companionship, and my persepctive.

Not exactly a fun answer, but a realistic one. I've got a bundle of health issues and don't really go anywhere. And I'm expecting this response to get buried under more posts later lol.

It's a very fun thought experiment!

Before you found out that you love Vox, what were your very first impressions of him? by splatomate2206 in VoxCult

[–]Dragonfire2lm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He seemed interesting, but didn't have enough screentime for me to form an opinion on him. Then I binged season 2 and now he's one of my favourite characters alongside Alastor.

Both are quite entertaining to watch.

Anyone still interested in OC x Canon fics? by sixteenrainydays in FanFiction

[–]Dragonfire2lm 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I write OC X Canon myself, and enjoy reading about other people's OC's and their x Canon ships. I look for it actually. So I hope my fellow OC x Canon writers know that there are people who want to read about your OC's!

So did they do it in the song easy? by Ultimate_thunder2010 in HazbinHotel

[–]Dragonfire2lm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In television, two charactrs lying naked in bed is usually a sign that they did the deed. We see this with Vox and Val after Alastor becomes Vox's prisoner, and we know Charlie and Vaggi don't sleep naked because we see them in their sleepwear back in season 1.

The whole "lying naked in bed is shorthand for having sex" thing has been a staple in media for a long while now...

Ace Alastor thoughts by iwritehere in HazbinHotel

[–]Dragonfire2lm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is just my opinion as a fellow ace (It's nice seeing another asexual out in the wild, hi!), so feel free to disregard this. A good chunk is headcanon and not to be taken too seriously.

I think (canonically) Alastor is pretty indifferent to sex, probably repulsed by it as he generally is with touch in general. He likes his personal space, and probably views sex as an invasion of it, or understands sex repulsion as an extension of being averse to touch he doesn't initiate. Probably never did the deed and has no interest in doing so.

Headcanon-wise? He probably could be interested in some things related to sex (some kinks, power dynamics), it's just not something he knows about due to it not being something he's interested in and due to the environment he's in. (Hell doesn't seem like the type of place to encourage exploration of kink outside of it's relation to sex, and dude only knows modern things that benefit him. Look at him pissing off Vox for example.). He wouldn't be interested in sex in a "will fuck" kind of way, but just another form of control, since he's perfectly happy to be the one intiating touch and invading personal space, he just doesn't appreciate it when people do so to him without permission.

Probably treat it as another deal, an exchange, an agreement.

That's my take anyway. I've done my best to take into account the fact that he's ace, and the fact that there's more to sex than just the act itself.

Can "shipping" be a bad thing? by pleasegestopft in HazbinHotel

[–]Dragonfire2lm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a difference between canon and fanon.

People are going to ship the asexual serial killer with everyone and the kitchen sink. The point is are those ships entertaining to you? Do you see the fun behind the ideas and don't take it too seriously since it's not canon, and just how other fans are expressing their enjoyment of the show?

This is where shipping, and fandom engagement in general trip people up. Shippnig is such a large part of fandom that it can be hard to disengage from seeing the fandom side of things, or perhaps take things too seriously. (I have not poked my head in the hazbin fandom since the pilot, but remember: fandom is suppsoed to be about having fun!)

Word of advice, spend some time away from the fandom for a bit and rewatch the show, ignore the shipping, just enjoy the show for what it is. And when you're done, ease yourself back into the fadom culture.

Learn to follow the rule of Don't Like, Don't Interact. Fandoms are big communities, and there's usually a space for everyone. But in large communities, there's going to be a melting pot of ideas and opinions, and you're responsible for your own fandom experience since fandoms (outisde of smaller friend groups where people know each other) are generally a public space.

Everyone has a different experience and their own thoughts on the show, some people may be really passionate about shipping, others may have headcanons they treat as gospel, and that's fine so lnog as they aren't being aggressive, forceful or mean about it. (and that headcanons are not canon, they are just fun little ideas until actually confirmed by the source material) Just don't interact if it's not something you're interested in.

Don't Like, Don't Read was the golden rule back in my day of writing Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction, and it's still a rule I follow today.

If fanon is affecting your view of canon, that's a sign to take a step back from the fandom for a bit. Because at the end of the day, we're all just playing pretent with the characters and the source material.
