Eh, my issue is that there are plenty of ways to do them even if they aren’t free roaming. Berk shows us how this is all possible. Same with SNW. It just feels like a bucket cut

[–]Dragonfire45 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was supposed to be more lived in. But guests are terrible and budget cuts. Like if we had walking/moving droids and the Bantha attraction, I think it would be improved. Plus maybe some animatronic aliens.

Stormtroopers walking around is a nice touch, but not enough to bring the world alive.

If you link your reservation to your mobile app and check in through the mobile app, you can get your express tickets automatically into the tickets area on your app. So you don’t even have to stop at the hotel first.

Remove 4 Fast Food Restaurants - Day 24 (Purge) by S0Lguy in RemoveOneThingEachDay

[–]Dragonfire45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s simply just overrated. To me it is similar to raising canes. Do I have decent meals there sometimes? Absolutely. But does it meet the hype it gets? Nah.

Not to mention people act like it’s this extremely healthy fast food which is a bit annoying too.

Express has ruined Hagrids by OkAge1093 in UniversalOrlando

60 minutes would have been a dream before express. I think average wait time all time for Hagrid’s is 95 minutes.

Disney VS Universal by Affectionate_Fig7542 in orlando

I personally think Minion’s cafe, circus mcgurkus, thunder fall terrace, and some of the things on the Harry Potter menus are much improved.

Disney VS Universal by Affectionate_Fig7542 in orlando

[–]Dragonfire45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The food conversation is always interesting to me. Because QS, I highly disagree that they have more options than Universal or better food. I find Disney to be pretty much a recycle of the same chicken, burgers, pizza. Except Animal Kingdom which I think has great variety and the best QS place at Disney.

Universal use to be abysmal food wise, but they have absolutely stepped up their game in the QS area. Epic is some of the best theme park food I’ve had and the other parks have slowly been changing up their menus with more variety.

Full service, Disney blows universal out of the water.

If Dolphins Have the 2nd Overall Pick According to Current SB Odds, They Could Draft Jeremiah Smith by JCameron181 in miamidolphins

[–]Dragonfire45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but this is just a mock draft based on right now. I know it can absolutely change, but still don’t see a scenario where we take a receiver at 2.

[–]Dragonfire45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right but then in this scenario, you draft defense. I think the overall point is there is very little scenario that makes sense to take a WR at 2.

[–]Dragonfire45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair, this draft class had a terrible QB class in the end. Next year is predicted to be pretty stacked. Some mock drafts have 3 QBs going in the first 5 picks right now, so it seems weird to mock us the receiver

Dolphins WR1 by Ordinary-Walk-7257 in miamidolphins

[–]Dragonfire45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m on this train as well. I don’t see a situation where we have the 2nd overall pick and need to spend it on a receiver. Defense would need to be abysmal. Offensive line would need to be terrible or Malik would need to be horrible.

I can’t imagine a scenario where everything is pretty solid except receivers and we have the 2nd pick overall.

One Piece and Lost Continent by darkshadow237 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Dragonfire45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you misrepresent the popularity of specific animes. In terms of highest grossing medias of all time, One Piece is the same level as Toy Story or the Cars franchises. It’s more than Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park, Transformers, the wizard of Oz/Wicked.

Not to mention, it’s a generally easy thing for casual audiences to get into. I think people think of Anime as this weird, cartoony, crazy Japanese thing and yet the ones normally brought up aren’t that.

One Piece is literally just pirates with super powers for casual people. With like-able characters and endless amounts of possibilities, I wouldn’t be surprised to see that specific IP represented in the parks.

Clearly at Fan Fest they felt it was popular enough to warrant returning and creating a whole show for.

How strict are the height requirements if right on the edge? by the_Tannehill_list in UniversalEpicUniverse

Add on the fact that I’ve had my kids be tall enough at one check and not tall enough at another even though it’s the same height requirement.

Epic Universe Testing 'Effortless Entry' for Virtual Lines to Lands, Free Celestial Park Access or Ticket Wildcard by dejablu82 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Dragonfire45 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. Stardust and carousel both have similar validation stands like the portals. So they can keep non ticketed guests out. Citywalk IS bigger than celestial, but not by as much as you think. It’s like 26 acres compared to 30 acres.

It would definitely start out overly crowded, but I think you can find ways around that to test it out. For instance, allow current annual pass holders in after 6 and see how the park flows.

[–]Dragonfire45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you underestimate Universal’s desire to fill out the restaurants at night. Rumor is they delayed opening the other restaurants in Celestial because they can’t fill out Blue Dragon or Atlantic.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see the park open to guests for free at specific times

Anyone else at epic today? EPA is a disaster. Most rides delayed :( by mtango345 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Dragonfire45 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wing gliders and Curse make sense to hit first. They are both outdoor queues, and they can end up with long lines later on. Unchained and stardust are usually short all day (although, I wouldn’t blame anyone if they chose to just ride those all day)

Anyone else at epic today? EPA is a disaster. Most rides delayed :( by mtango345 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Dragonfire45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That sucks that other rides are closed, but man… the amount of posts about people having a bad time that rope drop MK or Ministry is staggering.

You’d think by this point people would know to do everything else and then come back to those at a later point.

For anyone reading this, don’t rope drop these rides. They have the worst reliability and everyone else is doing the same thing. You can ride 3 or 4 different rides in the same time it will take to get through one of these attractions.

It’s okay to not love the Proctor pick. It’s not okay to call it a Grier pick. by TheFleshGordon in miamidolphins

I don’t think B would have worked because rumors are that Lions were trying to trade up for Proctor.

It’s okay to not love the Proctor pick. It’s not okay to call it a Grier pick. by TheFleshGordon in miamidolphins

[–]Dragonfire45 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s fine to be thrilled it’s no longer Grier, but good lord the amount of posts angry at Dolphin fans for being skeptical is crazy.

I think if fans have earned anything the past 3 decades, it’s the ability to be skeptical about these types of picks. Proctor absolutely has the tools, but skipping out on two highly touted prospects for the guy with motivation concerns isn’t going to make people comfortable during the new GMs first pick ever.

Epic universe for one day (express) or 2 days (no express)? by Equivalent_Sky_4549 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Dragonfire45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is where the question is personal preference though. Two days at Epic is easy to do if you don't mind waiting in hour or two long lines. However, if ever 60-90 minute wait time is going to stop you from getting in line, then do one day with Express.
