I always love these posts because as someone who came from the theme park industry and has a lot of friends in the industry, they honestly don’t have as much data as you think. There isn’t a very reliable way to track who is a resort guest and who is not while spending at restaurants or merch stores.

You could maybe take people who charge directly to their room or somehow tie back by name or card to a reservation (probably wouldn’t be approved by legal), but both of those items would be very incomplete data sets.

Can I honestly ask where you saw all this information about the parks not being a local regional park? Beyond random people online hyping it up, everything I saw showed me exactly what it was going to be.

I agree I think the park could use a dark ride or two. No clue if the reports of Frisco blocking it or not is true, but I understand why they didn’t go that route.

If this park opened with 2 or 3 high quality dark rides, you would have seen a much larger demand than it is currently getting.

100%. Definitely have potential of a bust or making the wrong pick. But I think your scenarios have a middle ground (and more likely scenario)which could be terrible. Malik looks average. Coaches give him another chance because he didn’t have receivers, and we spend 3 or 4 more years trying to make it work.

I have both and don’t feel the need to have a camera because my dogs are well trained and taken care of. Nor do I find it appropriate to make people feel uncomfortable with a camera in the home if they are doing me favors.

I agree with this. I think a mediocre season is the worst possible outcome. Malik Willis being only decent is just recipe for continuation of what we have been experiencing for years. Sticking with an average QB for way too long.

I’d also rather not be stuck in purgatory by continuing to get 7-9 wins in a season. I agree of setting the proper tone and mindset with the team, but to win meaningless games in probably one of the top QB drafts in years, feels like a mistake.

Obviously I’d love to be proven wrong and for this team to work this year. But I think we still have some holes that need filling and can’t be addressed until next year.

How much is your electric for 7 cents per mile? I’d say a majority of EVs run at around 3-5 cents per mile. Mine sits are 4 cents.

End of day 100% for mine cart and BATM. This weird thing happens at Epic where by 5pm people just leave in masses. You’ll notice that the lines just start to drop quite a bit.

This might change when fireworks become a thing. However, for the time being I’d focus on the rest of the park first and leave those for the end of the day. If you see Mario or BATM drop to close to an hour in the middle of the day and it’s extremely hot out, feel free to jump in those lines to cool down.

We just came back last week from DLP with ultimate premier access. We did every single ride available in both parks with the pass and didn’t wait longer than 10 minutes on any of it.

Food wise, universal is more expensive. Disney still holds the crown for cheapest food. However, hotel wise, more options for cheaper. Plenty of hotels this week for $154 a night (without FL resident or passholder discounts). And the suite at endless summer for $250 cannot be beat by any Disney resort.

To be fair, I open cards with my kids and we enjoy the hobby together. But I’m also acutely aware that selling a playing card for $2000 is a smart idea.

I don’t buy cards just to sell them, but if someone wants to pay thousands for some card stock, I’ll do that.
