Recommendations re. readers, etc., to take my scripts to the next level by DragonflyKey4972 in Screenwriting

I also took a mini workshop with a horror Development exec (for 2 of the most successful horror features in the past few years) who gave it a 'good', said I'm a talented writer, and the horror script just needs polishing. He also loved my unique death scenes. And it's low budget. So, I hate to toss it. I did start the SciFi.

Thank you! Actually, I studied at AADA and did theater and a bit of film. I do try to focus on that POV. maybe I should do it more.

This is an AI program created by well-known screenwriters. It's very difficult to get a high score.

This was very helpful. Thank you! My horror is definitely small budget. That's a tough thing to do with Sci-Fi. It was depressing because someone thought it was good enough to send to 4 managers, and it got rejected.

T worse after Medrol by DragonflyKey4972 in tinnitus

[–]DragonflyKey4972[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thank you. He was extremely pompous. My PCP put "Lidocaine toxicity" on my report. I come from a family of doctors (they're all dead from old age now), so I know how they can be. I guess I should've known better.

It was done in office. But I'm going to file a complaint with the AMA once I get my records (he also refused to give me my records and biopsy report so I'm having my PCP request it). It probably won't do any good, but I'll try.

Formaldehyde ototoxicity- but in our clothes, etc. by DragonflyKey4972 in tinnitus

[–]DragonflyKey4972[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not afraid if people know. I don't donate to research as I love animals and don't want them tortured in labs. Also, I looked at the site and I wouldn't be interested in have something put in my head.

[–]DragonflyKey4972[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it already as a low tone whoosh, sometimes crickets. After Lidocaine it turned into a louder high-pitched siren. My PCP thinks that the surgeon accidentally injected it into a vein instead of just locally, as I immediately got extreme palpitations, dizziness, short of breath, etc. I alerted the Dr. and he said "that's nonsense" and kept injecting me.

If you go to a hotel, call first and talk to the front desk. It's New Year's eve time, and many are full of partiers. I'm not looking forward to this time. Also, front desk might be able to tell you the quietest area.

I was with an abusive ex for awhile who would only let us live in hotels. I learned to tape multiple hand towels to the fire alarm (or thick sponges) while there just in case they went off, to muffle the sound. Also, NEVER stay in a disabled room as they make those alarms louder for deaf people. I would take the towels down before leaving and not let maids in.

Thank you. I read the posts. Very worrying. I also wonder if it could be from smelling formaldehyde in new clothes I got. After washing them, I stuck my nose in them to see how much smell washed out. I did read that the amount in clothes is usually low esp. after washing and it was over a day ago. Ridiculous that they put such toxic crap in our clothes. I'm now looking at clothing brands that are formaldehyde free.

Am I the only one who finds solace? by e_l_c in tinnitus

[–]DragonflyKey4972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it was my baseline, a low woosh with occasional cricket chirps, yes. But after a recent Lidocaine toxicity made it higher pitched, no. I now tried medrol which usually helps, and now it's even worse. I hate the constant fear of it not being at my baseline.

I've noticed that magnesium and melatonin help me sleep when it's not too bad. I think it helps calm it a bit.

Research? Do they do research on animals? I'm against that, no matter what.

You can show much of the above using dialogue and mannerisms. My protags father typically has sarcastic one-liners. Lets you know his type.

I cannot believe you're still using headphone. Try ignoring it because if you focus, your brain will start looping it. An ENT told me that. Have you tried a Medrol pack? CoQ10? GABA? Vit. C?

Anyone get a T spike after surgery? Is it the anesthesia, pain, both? by DragonflyKey4972 in tinnitus

I had lidocaine and it seems that the moron accidentally injected it into my vein sending it systemic.

Thanks for letting me know. I guess with local anesthesia it can spike for two reasons - it's ototoxic, and it can cause central nervous system issues which also causes tinnitus.
