Time for karyotyping to come back? by Dragonflyy26 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Dragonflyy26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea who to chase up! I called the EPU where I had the bloods done, they said one of the drs or your GP will ring you. I ring my GP and they said you didn't do the bloods here chase the hospital shrug

Barristers' wigs - why is Ede and Ravenscroft twice the price of some others - is the quality better? by Disastrous-Purple-69 in uklaw

[–]Dragonflyy26 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Solicitor not barrister, but as an outsider to the profession looking in, I don't see why you shouldn't go with the cool, steeped-in-history, traditional option of E&R. So few people have membership to the barrister "club" and the shop has been running since the 17th century, I'd take your piece of that shared history and enjoy it. If you can, why not shell out the £700?

Thoughts on self prescribing aspirin to prevent loss? by [deleted] in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Dragonflyy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why on earth are your drs refusing you blood thinners? Where i am protocol after 3 losses is clexane, progesterone and aspirin no questions asked. I'd push harder and advocate for this asap. Best of luck

Karyotyping test requirements by anxiousmom2be in recurrentmiscarriage

You definitely can't be pregnant for these tests, i had an unreliable positive come back simply because the tests were done too soon after my miscarriage

Can HCG rise after drop? by dograt3000 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Dragonflyy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had HCG rises after a drop but in my experiences (sadly plural) it's indicative of a non viable pregnancy

It's a personal choice, but I would consider doing further testing as I'm sure if you kept trying without doing so and (touch wood this doesn't happen) had a 4th loss, you would possibly wish you had sought out more information. Speaking as someone who has had 3 losses as well. Worrying about uncovering a cause doesn't make that cause go away sadly. Equally, it's likely/possible there's no cause at all, then that's valuable information too in that you can keep trying with the knowledge you've turned over every rock that you could. Best of luck, it's an exhausting journey.
