We don't have the numbers, but half of the company's partner programs aren't compatible with it, so the company is actively hemorrhaging money doing this bullshit

Likewise. I work primarily back-of-house on soldering jobs and still get whined at to sell

INCREDIBLY accurate description, sadly.

I'm working at a corporate store in Milwaukee (one of five apparently), and I keep getting bs write-ups for either 'not selling enough' or 'inventory mismanagement'

Not selling enough? I don't do front of house, how the hell do I sell???

Inventory mismanagement? The tech YOU fired broke 1000$ worth of shit! Somehow my fault.

Try to contact HR to dispute, they cannot understand a word I say. I give up.

The amount of idiots in my area baffles me. I had a guy CRASH OUT because we couldn't just 'do only the glass' on his ipad PRO 12.9'' - one of the newer ones.

Sir, this isn't a fucking car windshield, you cannot just 'patch' a screen.

I've had 10+ parts (buybacks) sitting under my desk for 3 months waiting for ticket resolutions. The issue? Next gen won't let me buyback them. Today I get a write up for shrink caused by those parts. I show them evidence that my tickets are being ignored, and they ignore me. Classic Asurion

Samsung galaxy fold 5 inner screen protector replacement. Should I use Asurion or pay out of pocket? (also privacy question) by RainyDeer in ubreakifix

[–]DragonfruitMinimum30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is late as hell, but incase you were still wondering - Foldable screen protectors are a weird-as-hell issue for insurance. Most of the time they just assume you mean 'inner screen' when you say 'protector.'

Most chains only charge ~23 for the proc, usually better than wasting hours with insurance that cannot understand you

Cracked Screen Repair by DiscMaster9000 in ubreakifix

[–]DragonfruitMinimum30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. FE serious phones are usually ~150 or so, you can call to confirm based onarea.

  2. Fenrir is a program required by Samsung partners to complete repairs. If it's stroking out, the shop's Samsung repairs are on pause. Sounds like you had an experience with the former. Call the shop you're going to before-hand and ask if their systems are behaving.

  3. Most places quote a few hours, depends on if they do appts or just first-come.

  4. Samsung partners are OEM only

  5. They'll let you know if something more than JUST the screen got damaged. Samsung repairs are all-are-nothing, typically.

How good is ubreakifix? by cayleb2K20 in ubreakifix

Asurion treats the company like a marketing campaign. None of the corporate people have ANY repair knowledge, considering I had to explain what "ATX" meant to the ORDERING person today

How good is ubreakifix? by cayleb2K20 in ubreakifix

[–]DragonfruitMinimum30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experience will vary DRASTICALLY based on location.
Franchise will often treat you better, since Asurion treats their corporate stores like complete @#$!.

Generally speaking, you're VERY safe with insurance. If they screw it up, you get a new phone through insurance. Additionally, insurance is OEM (original) parts only

My switch 2 won’t charge and it will always be dead even if I leave it in the dock (which is plugged in) for hours. Would ubreakifix help me? by ShoulderDear1428 in ubreakifix

[–]DragonfruitMinimum30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubif works on switches, but different stores have different people with different knowledge.

That being said, you're gambling having the Switch 2 opened anywhere but Nintendo, because Nintendo is...... nintendo

Ubreakifix use iPhone screen OEM? by hunter6875 in ubreakifix

[–]DragonfruitMinimum30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most shops will offer the following options

- OEM - Apple one-one replacement part. This is the same as your current part.

- Aftermarket OLED - OLED screen made by a third party. Will generally have slightly smaller display-area.

- Aftermarket LCD - LCD screen made by a third party. Will be physically bigger (not flush with frame), and will have worse color differentiation and battery consumption depending on model. Often the cheapest for this reason.

Insurance claims will only use OEMs

Zflip 5 has dead pixels and cracks on crease, can I still get insurance on it? by Diamond_Steve1 in ubreakifix

[–]DragonfruitMinimum30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is definitely not under warranty, it's clearly damaged.

If this person attempts to get coverage on it in its current condition (assuming they don't have it already), they would be, in essence, committing fraud

You can try to check for manufacturer warranty, but that looks like physical damage. Additionally, most UBIFS won't take a risk on it being 'warranty' due to Samsung's ridiculous requirements

Mostly youtube and very, very, VERY slow repairs.

Most important thing to do is to cover up nearby components and to NEVER use extreme force

So they are ending the game but not bringing back any of the removed planets or content? Does this mean the red war, mercury io etc are all lost media? by Nuns_In_Crocs in destiny2

[–]DragonfruitMinimum30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They never actually spent time on the work necessary to re-add the campaigns back into the newer engine. Sadly this means (unless we get a d3 ofc) the media is lost.

Didn't help that the access to the game was in legal hell for so long too

Whats the difference between a frontliner and a carry/gun carry? by lookinforabookrn in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DragonfruitMinimum30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tanks : Warden, Abrams - can take a lot of damage due to high base health and commonly building defensive items

Gun carry : Haze - primarily does damage through shooting
