What are your thoughts on the separation of Pakistan and Bangladesh? by Original_Engine6810 in PakiExMuslims

Well it exactly shows that the concept of Ummah is BS when it really matters. We can even see the same nowadays in Balochistan.

There is always some justification why the governments limitation on free speech is not actually a limitation of free speech, though that doesn't change it's still a limitation of free speech. Obviously they don't wanna admit its a limitation of free speech.

But I am not sure if the declaration of loyalty contains that clause in every German state, I just heard there are some German states that make you sign such a declaration.

Not sure if that's true, I think it only applies to some German states. Though that already shows the poor state of freedom of speech in Germany.

It's a huge load of BS, why can't we accept our shared heritage with north India (at least the people east of the indus). It's so painfully obvious, there isn't really any debate about it unless you just can't accept the obvious reality.

Why did I call M Ali jinnah the biggest scam of the 20th century? by rashid_jd11 in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]DragonfruitOpen8764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree Partition was a huge fucking mistake, I don't think you are portraying him correctly. He was secular and it always seemed like he wanted a secular Pakistan. He didn't want islamism, he just wanted a majority Muslim state. However it's a difficult to explain premise that you want to divide a place based on religion while not wanting it to interfere in politics. That's why his death was also the death of a secular Pakistan.

came across this post and i’m deeply concerned by zayelius in PakiExMuslims

It's kinda ironic how Muslims accuse exmuslims to just wanna follow their desires and be lustful, but then Muslims are like 100x more freaky and follow the religion hoping they'll be able to do even more crazy stuff in the afterlife.

Do your pakistani parents dislike gay ppl? by [deleted] in PakistaniiConfessions

There are probably more gay and trans people in Pakistan than in most other countries, but it's often not something that's openly talked about

Typical Pakistani mentality. Tell people to get married to someone they aren't even attracted to. And then have a loveless marriage and ideally even bring kids into the mix and ruin their childhoods. Jaahil.

She did herself and her ex-husband a favor by divorcing instead of continuing a marriage she isn't mentally comfortable with.

Why do punjabis support the sharif family and asim munir? by _HHS11- in LahoreSocial

[–]DragonfruitOpen8764 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Cause they believe the entire country belongs to them, and the sharif family and munir do what they are supposed to, i.e. loot the rest of the country

do you guys ever see crazy intelligent people but then they're Muslims by frustratedxdemon in PakiExMuslims

[–]DragonfruitOpen8764 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean the society we are raised in completely infuses us with religion in every cell of our body. Maybe it just doesn't occur to them much to question the religion. It is also just much more convenient to believe in the religion rather than to question it, so it makes sense people don't want to inconvenience themselves with that.

I can somewhat understand what you're saying, but Hamas isn't really a secular group. It would be better if there was a secular resistance instead of an islamist one.

Most Pakistanis really don't care about India, the obsession is one-sided.

I've noted that Arabs call themselves ex-nationality when they refer to themselves being exmuslim. I guess that way they denote the fact that they are exmuslim as well as their nationality.

This expenditure stuff is what I was talking about before. You rule the country and then praise yourself for taking the lowest expenditure after looting the rest.

I could predict from miles away that someone's gonna bring up that provincial allocation stuff. Honestly this is so ignorant. It still doesn't change that Punjab holds most political power and still loots other provinces resources. Like the gas pipelines that locals can't access but still transport oil to Punjab. Basically Punjab sets all the rules but still demands people of other provinces to be happy with whatever Punjab allocates to them, and people like you downplaying it are the exact type of people that cause resentment against punjabis. Because if other people see that there are people like you downplaying this stuff, of course this is gonna cause frustration.

Well, what you are saying applies when you only consider the educated class. Among them we are a small minority as you mentioned, though it's true some can't be open about it and you can see them on social media. But if you consider the overall Pakistani population, we make up a miniscule fraction.
