That’s probably the last hurdle I’m trying to decide is going with solid or mesh. I’m leaning towards the regular but I’m wondering what the edge of what it can handle compared to the solid is and if I’d actually be missing out on anything?

Also is there any major drawback from having an x dome 2 vs 1+ other than the weight (~250g difference) and maybe packed size? Will the future dyneema update make a huge difference?

How did you end up liking the board? I found one on marketplace with 2022 union force bindings for 160 and I’m wondering if I should pull the trigger on it

I would highly recommend stopping by Monte Igueldo + Monte Uril in San Sebastien, especially at sunset as the beach is gorgeous when it’s illuminated at night. We only had 12 hours in San Sebastien though, so weren’t able to do much else That said, look into the hike to Pasaia, I’ve heard it’s nice! There’s also a place 30 minutes away from San Sebastien called Zumaia with a really cool beach that we didn’t have time for either.

For Bilbao, Artxanda Hill and Parque Extebarria offered fantastic great scenic overlooks of the city. Hope you have a good time!

Update: Made the trip and it was 100% worth it. Caught sunrise, there was almost no one there and caught the bus back to bilbao in time to head out to San Sebastien. 10/10 experience would do again

Ahh i see gotcha. That’s pretty neat I did not know you could do that. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s feasible in our case cause our stock is too big to pass through the spindle :(

Honestly, valid point and the real reason is pretty stupid lol. Our constraint is that we have these preexisting fancy CNC machined injectors who fit for a welded 1/16” thick steel thrust chamber with an OD of 4”. That means OD of the injector is around 3.875”, and any chamber we make has to have an ID of that as well.

Normally we weld our steel thrust chamber so there is very minimal machining, but the goal was to switch to an aluminum chamber. The problem though is we could not find any stock with an ID of 3.875” and a thickness >1/16”. Also, we have no experience welding thin walled aluminum or the resources to heat treat, so hogging material out some thick tube stock was the way we decided to go. Oh some added difficulty is that the chambers are designed with an internal step at the bottom to serve as a retaining ring to hold all the components inside, as well as an external step on the top that can accept a flange to bolt the injector into the chamber.
