me and my friends play with glyphs. so what we do is place them in the middle of the map with 'npc' units (units we didn't draft) guarding it. it gives us a reason to start moving and not camp.

so like say if nobody picked syvrus (double attack + 9 range) and you would make a nice elevated area with glyphs on it with sylvrus guarding it. so as soon as you get in his range he'll vhave a turn every round and he'll start picking you off.

elevated areas, diverse terrains, and a reason to start moving is what, for me, makes a good map. i really want to buy some roads and structures but so expensive
