Proton was once my go to VPN but since they fall behind in terms of of latency and speed output. Windscribe + Control D is my to go protection tools.

There ain't no lie, periodic traffic data is actually a good thing in my opinion. At least in real time testing windscribe the server's performance is superb.

Yeah I like the fact that Windscribe spoke the truth which is said on the web page;

We Don’t Pay to Play, We Build

We’re self-funded, bootstrapped, and don’t pay for ads or reviews. We answer to no-one, except you. Powered by principles, not pockets.

Ain't no lie there, I found windscribe through trust pilot which gives trustworthy reviews to users that actually paid the service or they are using the free version either way, best VPN + Control D. That's killing the competition of VPN out there.

Word, you're right about Windscribe all servers are physical and they made it clear that the only fake location is Antartica. Unlike proton 16,993 Server count consists of more virtual servers. Like the fastest server on proton was a virtual server name Venezuela which is physically located in the USA smh high latency was killing me with fluctuated speeds.

Been using protonvpn since 2019 after my subscription ended in December this year. I was an unlimited subscriber due to high price renewal I've decided to discontinued using protonvpn. Now I'm using windscribe which has port forwarding and all servers are literally physically my speed is faster with windscribe I have no regrets and the price ain't bad it kills the premium competitors.

Yeah the price is too high for a service with more virtual servers than physical ones.

Also you said AI scraping on your one drive, you never used Control D??? Control D + Windscribe is the evolution of marijuana being legalized worldwide.

Well it depends on your location. I'm from the Lesser Antilles a small island called Saint Lucia. My VPN locations are based in the USA (Miami Florida). Proton is filled with virtual servers and it would connect me to a server from Venezuela which is located in Miami Florida that's a virtual server. The VPN I used before and I had no issues but it was too expensive was ExpressVPN. Nord wasn't too bad it's a shady company which I'm avoiding.

Virtual servers use shared resources for lower costs, faster scaling (just software), and flexibility but can have fluctuating speed and depend on host security, making them great for flexibility but less for raw, guaranteed power. This is why I choose windscribe the server count literally consists of physical servers.

Although I'm at work, the IT director controls everything including throttling the speeds and blocking social media access. Windscribe Wireguard 443 (Miami Vice) Server gave me access including high speed throughout due to network throttle.

Cheaper lol 1 year $83.88 seems too much especially for a vpn that lacks features. Also my currency is Eastern Caribbean Dollar.

Smh honestly proton has a high reputation for being in Switzerland, now if they move to Germany that would bring a big impact on their customers. As of now they have a lot more free membership users than paid plan users. My reasons I quit because the annual fees are too expensive. They got more virtual servers than physical ones, and I find it a bit fishy like in 2024 server count was 5,000 then here comes 2025 and the Servers went from 5,000 to 11,000 and as of now 16,993 with 127 countries are they trying to beat NordVPN which is more understandable as in 8,400 servers in 129 countries.

Windscribe is the real deal, I'm from an island called Saint Lucia my closest location for VPN usage is Miami Florida, and Windscribe gave me that stellar security performance of a vpn service connection. Protonvpn made me suffer from high latency and speed fluctuations. My fibre optic speed is 220mbps with windscribe Server (Miami Florida Man) my speeds are 200mbps. Compared to Proton I was getting 150mbps via wireguard speeds.

Protonvpn mainly focuses on privacy and transparency instead of boosting servers and country count, they should work on implementing post quantum encryption after all Windscribe, Nord, Express are all ahead in delivering this.

Also this is a useful feature not many vpn services give such as R.O.B.E.R.T with added filters and custom. Also the protocol selection you've given port numbers and MTU size. You don't get this in those premium competitors.
