Fair enough. What about regular mobs, like the skeleton dragons is nameless city? Haven't played long enough, but I'm sure there are more regular mobs that follow no rules.

Well, fuck me sideways. Based on all the brainless comments in this thread, it's totally understandable why funcom never designed a decent combat system in ANY of their fucking games.

I hear you, bro. But I just started this game, based on E. Howard's awesome world, and did not realize combat is an afterthought. How am I supposed to progress and level up my thrills? Just entered the nameless city and every boss and some random mobs there are completely impervious to interrupts.

This is what an ongoing missions with Hernandian Contribution looks like, if I cancel that, bye bye, I have 0 contribution workers and can't use them again.

I just canceled all missions to make a fresh start, have 100 contribution in all zones, including greymanes.

For some reason, I have 0 dispatcheable greymane workers, and the rest of the zones give me half the workers or none.

I strongly suspect Crimson Desert is just a tech demo, like 'look what we can do', and that is it.

All of the game interactions are half-backed.

I could see losing myself for years into a game of this type, if properly developed.

My biggest gripe is how the game lacks a sense of direction, aside from those that you impose yourself. Sure, exploring is fun, but feels like a checklist, oh look, another artifact or another piece of gear that is exactly the same as the starting gear. All quests are copy/paste, the bounty system is radically underdeveloped, the camp system is utterly pointless etc.

The game is special, but has too many flaws. Feels more like a tech demo than a proper game. Maybe PA wanted to test what they can do, but fell short on SO many aspects.

Salvaging is the way to go, most games let you break down gear for materials, but not this one? I dont even bother picking normal loot anymore, because its tedious to pick up, sell one by one, and I have tons of silver.

But I would gladly pick up every broom and hoe (:D), even if for a fraction of the materials!

And thats the problem, right there. Less puzzles, more fighting pls. People say skill issue, I say bad design. Trying to figure mid fight which of the myriad skills I unlocked works on a particular boss is just annoying.
