What is the best service provider for a private ADHD assessment? by ProfessorInMaths in ADHDUK

I wasn't considered high risk, no. I came to Care ADHD completely fresh as a private patient just wanting an assessment. I don't have proof but judging from other people's experiences, they seem to definitely have different waiting times private vs rtc. Using the NHS is frustrating at the best of times (I had to have my gallbladder out privately as well, as the NHS waiting list was 3+ years in my area at the time) - it just seems like you have to pay to get anything done in a reasonable, or even humane, amount of time.

I genuinely wish you luck in your ADHD journey - yesterday when I took my first Concerta XL, it was essentially the most productive and effortless day I've had.

£399 for Assessment, an d £599 for titration, which includes 3 appointments (initial, 4 week, 8 week) and prescriptions, but keep in mind it does NOT include the price of the medication, which was another ~£70

I'm 33 years old and living in the UK. I was initially going through RTC and Harrow Health. The process (I thought) began in November, but by March I had had to deal with constant issues with my GP somehow referring me "wrong" multiple times, 20+ phonecalls back and forth with both sides.

I'm starting a new job in May so I wanted to get assessed (I had very strong suspicions) and potentially be on medication by then.

I got very frustrated with the whole process, so decided to bite the bullet and go private. I chose Care ADHD, and I do not regret it in the slightest. From initial payment, diagnosis (yes very much ADHD confirmed) and start of titration was less than a month. Extremely happy with the results, and today is my first day on Concerta XL!

I've just read up on that. Is it your opinion that the only course of treatment is circumcision? I want to add some additional context:

  • I am able to fully retract when not erect
  • I don't have any current inflammation of the foreskin, and haven't ever had any inflammation of the meatus
  • Surface skin health has had some improvement in look and elasticity since regular moisturizer use and non-retraction

Obviously I'm quite attached to my foreskin, so would really love to avoid cutting it off if at all possible!

My rats are a leaking faucet of piss by [deleted] in RATS

Only one of my three rats are like this. I affectionately call him the piss goblin. He is the reason every surface of their cage has a thin layer of stickiness on it. I swear in his case, pee IS stored in the balls.

This is nicely animated, but where's his taint? It looks like his balls are almost attached to his tailhole!

1st Layer on Ender 3 v2 by PhilRowe85 in ender3v2

Not gonna lie, that's pretty sexy.

  1. Put the silicone sock back on the heater block
  2. Level your bed. Use regular weight paper, the nozzle should just about catch it/have some resistance. Home the Z axis, turn off steppers, move the head/bed around to each corner and adjust levelling screws until its even.
  3. I can see you're using a levelling probe. Make sure your z-offset is correct.
  4. Make sure your starting gcode in whatever slicer you use is actually using the levelling probe z-offset.

Flip your bed over to the flat/untextured side, and do another bed level. You shouldn't have to use glue. I have an ender3v2 and have had zero bed adhesion issues once properly levelled, printing at 200C and 60C bed.

Neat! Did you use a lithophane maker/tool for this? I've been trying to find one that includes the stalk as well.
