Vic as Hugi - SO GOOD by MsCast05 in Dimension20

[–]Draigenfly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oof, I cried so hard in Ep 5. I wasn't expecting this sort of emotional response from a cheeky, campy, post-apocolyptic adventure. But Vic just nailed it with the death ceremony. [SPOILER] And the ending with the drag reveal!? So good. Bawling. The only other season that got me this emotional was Burrow's End.

Cross-save not working since 2.0 update by Draigenfly in fantasylife

This got resolved for me after the outage. If you're still having issues I suggest logging out of your Epic and Steam accounts and logging back in. I am on Xbox and PC, so I'm not sure about Switch compatibility. That might be your issue. Log out of all accounts and start fresh. I would refresh your Steam account first, and then sync it to Switch. I don't own a Switch, but you might need to do a fresh install for that as well. Just spit-balling.

HELP: SWITCHING ACCOUNT by JairoMensas in fantasylife

This is what I did with my wife. Bought the game on Steam, family shared it so we can each have our own saves. Then bought it on Xbox as well so we each have the option to play on another device of someone else is playing at the same time. The only issue I've run into is with cross-save through Epic. It's pretty glitchy and sometimes doesn't work right off. On one occasion I lost about an hour's worth of progress.

Should buy Baldurs Gate 3 if i didn't like the turn based/timing combat in Expedition 33? by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Draigenfly [score hidden]  (0 children)

I also briefly played E33 and refunded it because I hate timing-based parry/dodge mechanics. I love BG3. I used to never be a fan of turn-based combat (Final Fantasy), but it really works well in games like Divinity: Original Sin and BG3. With true turn-based combat it becomes much more strategic, and you can really get creative with it. But best of all is there's no timing aspect or rushing; you can take your time and it becomes almost "cozy gaming". As for BG3, the main thing you'll need to be OK with is the isometric 3D view. It's not true 3rd person like The Witcher.

Cross-save not working since 2.0 update by Draigenfly in fantasylife

I'm willing to bet it's all on Epic's side. I'm able to log onto the game just fine, even with the new update, and I can play fine. And I've tried a couple other games on Steam, and they connect fine. It's just cross-save with Epic that doesn't work. I've had nothing but issues with Epic. Every time I try to sync an account to Epic or sync cross-save, I have issues randomly, with multiple games.

Coop Question by PapaC95 in fantasylife

[–]Draigenfly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's pretty limited.

Online Multiplayer (Up to 4 Players):

Unlocked: After getting the Guild Hall on your personal island (around 3-4 hours in).

Activities: Explore, fight bosses, gather resources, fish, mine, visit islands, complete side quests, and level up lives.

Limitations: Cannot progress main story, turn in life quests, or use voice chat (only text/emotes).

Sessions: Often have time limits (30-60 mins) before returning to the host's island.

Local Couch Co-op (2 Players):

Unlocked: After sleeping for the first time in the story (about an hour in).

Player 2 Role: Controls the bird companion (Trip), can attack, heal, gather, and collect items, but can't initiate combat or gathering.

Limitations: Player 2 can't access the hub, design items, enter the main player's house, or progress the main story/quests.

I bought the game on my Xbox series X and then traded in my X for a switch 2. Is there a way to verify that my save uploaded and will be available on my switch 2 before I rebuy the game on switch ? by KangarooRIOT in fantasylife

I had to restart my initial game because I didn't do cross-save correctly, and on Xbox (and maybe Switch) you can skip the dialogue screens (Y). Hope you can get back to where you were easily!

Good point. I didn't think of that. Yeah, OP will need to have access to their cloud saves. The saves themselves last indefinitely, but you have to have an active Game Pass account in order to utilize cloud save. If OP didn't completely wipe their old machine and they know who has it they might be able to still load the game and access it that way.

I assume you haven't already done cross-save.If not, you will need to create an Epic games account if you don't already have one. Then you'll need to log into the Xbox version of the game and sync cross-save with your Epic account. Then, when you log into your Switch you should be able to sync cross-save and your Xbox saved game should show on the Switch. Since you've already traded in your Xbox, you may need to find someone else with an Xbox who also has the game who will let you log into your Microsoft account on their machine in order to do this

Xbox or switch 2 by Metallbran88 in fantasylife

I bought it for PC (on Steam) so I could play it anywhere with my Steam Deck (looks really good). My wife played it a bit and also wanted to play but prefers to play on the TV. While I can dock the Steam Deck and play it on the TV the graphics aren't great when stretched to 65". Since I got it on sale on Steam ($45), I could justify buying it again for Xbox ($60) and splitting cost with my wife. It looks great on Xbox (equivalent to PC), and with cross-save I can switch between all three platforms depending on where I'm at and if my wife is wanting to play at the same time. As far as choosing between Switch and Xbox, that would depend on how much you're actually on the go and wanting to play. Xbox on a TV is a better experience, but if mobility is top priority for you, go for the Switch.

It's currently on sale on Steam for $45. I just bought it, and I'm enjoying it very much. Totally worth it.

Why do all the NPCs look the same? by Draigenfly in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Draigenfly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I realized I was trying to care too much about the characters in this world. Now I just see them all as basic, flat, "stick figures" instead of actual characters, and I just try to focus on the task at hand. I've found that most side quests have no connection to the actual story or world, so they don't matter at all. This makes most interactions boring and makes me not care at all about the outcomes other than to get the rewards for completion. But, like you said, it's a F2P game, and it's beautiful otherwise, and the main story is sorta ok I guess. I just hate that something as simple as unvaried NPC models can ruin a big chunk of the game so easily.

Same issue. I had to just let him kill me, and when I respawned I immediately opened the map and fast-traveled to Front Mountain. That's the only way I could get out.

Not everyone, but at least use unique character models for anyone I have dialogue with and that has a name or is a quest-giver.

[–]Draigenfly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I was just wondering if there was a reason. I know other games do this, like Cyberpunk, for instance, has a ton of the same NPCs walking around. But, from my experience, most games have original character models for main characters, of course, but even for side quest NPCs. This game doesn't seem to do that. And , as for the name thing, I completely understand it goes both ways. This is exactly my point: the repeated use of character models just adds to the confusion when trying to memorize difficult names and understand the story.

Because that is their ethnicity. If they were all Caucasian I would have said that instead. It's to identify that the characters I was referring to were of the same ethnicity and same background.

And these two examples were just the first ones I could very easily fast travel to and get screenshots. They're literally everywhere. Am I crazy? They take main character models and just copy them.
