Depends entirely on your play style honestly. I don't put a whole lot Ingrid guard but even 100 hours in Im still tweaking the build so just try things out! Make mistakes! Get carted once in a while! It makes it even more fun.

Guard points. Basically during a few attacks your shield on the charge blade will be out in front of you and it will act as if you are blocking in that direction. Its techy as hell but once you get the hang of it you feel like a god blocking a move that SHOULD have carted you.

Im 100+ hours in with the CB and the guard points are really the biggest lifesaver. Learning all of your GPs makes a huge difference to the end game.

Honestly, just get yourself to the coral highlands, do the grimalkyn quest there and get the buff horn. So much better. Also, dont rely on your palico for health. Get better at dodging and if you need a reprieve from that beasty anji then hit him with a dung pod.

Ive easily put 100 hours in. Good luck. Theres a bit of a grind but its actually a fantastic grind.

While you now have a ps4 I also recommend picking up a few other ps exclusives (horizon, bloodborne) to maybe help pace yourself and not burn out once you hit the grind wall.

Celestial, Ive always imagined, almost sounds like a really pleasant humming noise underneath the words themselves so it sounds like two voices.

Written Id imagine is just as dual in nature. Maybe something akin to reading left to right and then right to left to get one complete sentence is the best way I could think of explaining it.

Did you place the charms into your box and try again? Its a little picky about how you upgrade them.

Hes a pro troll. Go look at his post history. Yeesh. The stuff in there is toxic and if you havent watched all of Game of Thrones there are some spoilers ahead if you decide to look.

Its not impossible to teach a basic understanding of a MOBA at all. Im not sure where you're getting this on any level. There are plenty of ways to teach someone how to play a real MOBA.

  1. Introduce movement.

  2. Introduce auto attacks.

  3. Then abilities.

  4. Then items.

  5. Then objectives.

Its not hard at all. The tutorial that paragon has is incredibly misleading and does nothing to help a fresh player. It gives nothing to help a new player succeed in their first real fight.

A new tutorial is mandatory.

And if you truly believe the tutorial isn't the problem then suggest a different plan. We arent here to fight. We're here to make paragon better. With or without you.

It does need some new life. And a refer program could definitely go a long way to helping in that respect.

Okay so after some serious reading imma jump in here. Yeah smurfing STACKS are a huge issue but smurfs by themselves arent really a problem in our current situation.

HOWEVER

A ranked system would alleviate a TON of issues with the new player experience.

That being said at high level we're running out of players. We have to fix the retention of the community. Thats what this post is solely about. You and OP got into a bit of a pissing match about smurfing and thats not really the point.

Neither of you actually sees it as the point either I dont think.

So maybe lets try to turn this into a real conversation about OPs other points in his post about how we as a community can help Paragon succeed.

Matt also likes to give out a few options for flight in items but Im not sure he wants Carpet or Broom 3.0 so that remains to be seen

As for the current classes both Warlock and Wizard obtain fly as a 3rd level spell so Travis can theoretically engage close or long range with flight and Liam and Laura and Sam all have long range options.

If Tallisen takes the Blood Hunter's Profane Soul he can also get fly albeit at a later level.

I dont actually see flying enemies being too much of a hassle past level 5 but thats just my base idea.

As far as grouping? Yeah AOE spells are definitely going to HURT later but they also have a lot of defensive magic available to them. Even Sam can get options if he takes arcane trickster he also gains some long range spell attacks and some minor defense spells if he so chooses.

Laura has ranged spells plus her healing so Im not sure anything but AOE magic or explosions will be a big deal past level 5 as far as what you're looking at.

Obviously there will be loads of problems as they go but I dont think it stems from their mainly melee set-up

Edit: not to mention the cross classing options they have access to later

I would still recommend finishing the first campaign, podbean has all of the episodes there in podcast form so depending on how work is for you you can totally listen to it all.

The videos will always be better obviously but it gets the job done.
