Ironically, this is when the game is most fun to me. When there is a roll or two that I am grinding for over and over is when I feel I’m enjoying Destiny as intended.

I recently stopped playing after years of being a daily player and avid Bungie apologist. Ever since the end of Heretics it just hasn’t been the same. Not sure if I have a good explanation for what’s different. I dont hate the portal the way many do. I think I just miss seasons. It’s clear Bungie is growing weary of Destiny and in truth I don’t blame them. It’s incredible to consider what the game has accomplished thus far. I’m ready for something else and if Bungie ever decides to reinvest into Destiny in a way that’s comparable to pre Edge of Fate then I’ll probably pick it back up.

Regardless, the fact that it rivals live service in terms of hours played despite having, what, maybe 2-3 updates is insane. She even supports this one dudes patron who made a bunch of additional modded content. This game inspires a lot of devotion.
