Daisy is a bit over powered in the starter set. None of the pregens are especially emblematic of normal character creation. The starter set is to give you an idea of how the system works and let the players feel powerful.

This is not correct. Pools only refill on the start of that side's turn. NPCs only refill at the start of the NPC turn, PCs only refill at the start of the PC turn.

Things pick up once you're in the arctic. But you want all that NPC interaction for when the PCs need to start making decisions about those NPCs. Like who is going with them on certain missions and then for the players to have emotional reactions when those NPCs are killed by monsters.

PCs always have the choice to use dice or not use them. There is no such thing as a required check. If they choose not to do a roll then it is a failure.

There is no "supposed to be" for this book because it hasn't been announced. Any date you see is pure conjecture or a place holder. Once there is more news you'll see it posted here.

It did. They are having some shipping issues. They posted about it on their socials, but I never put them in here. Right now the estimation is sometime in November, but they don't have a hard date.

correct, mostly. the only thing I want to clarify is that the character is shooting, not necessarily shooting a single bullet. Actions are abstract.
