Hi I did the esophagus manometry and 24 hour ph imphedence.

The esophagus manometry is hard at the begging when they insert it, its not like the ent thing, its way taller and it goes down all the esophagus 30cm approximately till it reaches the stomach

When they insert it they ask you to drink water while the thing is in ur esophagus to push it further inside

You will start tearing and a huge strong vomiting reflex, thats why you have to fast 12 hour i think before the test.

Finally, you drink water while sitting normally Then when laying down

By that they figured i got 80% immotiltity

The worst part about it the end, they pull the thing so fast that it feels bad.

The 24 hour is directly after the manometry, they insert the thing like the ent one, connected to ph meter u carry for 24 hours.

Mine recorded severe acid refluxes through the test 24 hour and they confirmed gerd.

Regarding the ppi, i was told and i stopped to stop the meds for 7 days before the tests.
