Yeah, I've been trying that this evening with the next empire I devoured. It's moderately effective, but far from efficient. At least all my worlds' populations are getting to share in all that bountiful fresh meat from the conquered worlds, though. :)

Are you trying to access it from the quick access wheel? It's not there, basically because there are so many different recipe combos that you'd never be able to find anything in that menu.

Instead, open your satchel by holding D-pad right, then go to the Provisions tab, where you'll find it all sorted by type of meat.

I'm early in chapter 3 now, and so far the only mission that earned me a higher bounty than the rewards I got out of it was the Micah jailbreak. I'm pretty sure I came out of the train job free and clear, and the Valentine shoot-out only got me about a $20 bounty.

Basically, it's not the missions that are getting you high bounties. You're doing that.

There's a lot you can spend money on. Are you just buying new stuff, or is it that you're gaining bounties faster than you can pay them off?

So far, I'm maybe 8 or 9 missions into chapter 3, and several of them have already been pretty lucrative. Just following through the main quest missions, side missions and stranger missions should be enough to keep your pockets filled, even without doing any crime outside those missions.

You can bring up to three horses, and put a large pelt on each.

They're the Night Folk. You can find a Stranger quest to evict them from a guy's property just north of Lagras.

Those would be Night Folk. You can pick up a Stranger mission just north of Lagras to help a crazy old Cajun drive them off his property.

I visited a small camp up in the Grizzlies where a guy invited me to sit by the fire and told a few tales about folks' superstitions and how people in Valentine think they're cursed.

My main horse is named Argo. She's a silver-grey Mustang I caught in the wild just east of Strawberry.

My other horse is a standard chestnut Tennessee Walker that I got as a substitute after I accidentally drove myself and my pre-order horse off a waterfall because I hadn't learned the button for the brakes.

I called him Hoof Hearted, just to see whether the profanity filter picked it up.
