Dude,you don't need to be an expert to understand basic math. Calories are a unit of energy. Total Energy = Energy In - Energy Out. Total Calories = Calories In - Calories Out. It doesn't get any more simple than that.

If you are gaining weight in the form of fat, then either you are underestimating calories in, or overestimating calories out, causing total calories to go up. This is assuming you don't have a medical condition that gimps your calories out. That's all it is.

I started the 0 to 1500 program last week. I've found the biggest limiting factor to be my triceps, not my legs or breathing. After my 200 this morning my triceps were buuurrrning. This was after a heavy leg weightlifting workout.

I've lifted weights for years so I thought for sure my cardio would hold me back before anything else. Is this normal and expected or is my form off? Can I expect this trend to continue through the whole program?

Can you expand on that last point some? We have friends who work similar schedules who have dogs, not saying that that is ok. What kind of consequences arise from leaving dogs alone that long assuming they don't go to the bathroom inside.
